Lets talk about Cockatoo's, Cockatiel's, and African Grey's!

Did you know? Cockatoo's, Cockatiel's, and African greys are MUCH dustier than other parrots! Due to this, its important they get frequent baths, frequent cleaning, and air purifiers in their space.

We love our feathered friends, but the dust they produce can become very dangerous if you have respiratory sensitivities. Frequent exposure can develop something called "Bird lung" which is a respitory condition which gets worse over time.

Similarly, their dust can even harm other birds in their vicinity.

We love our feathered friends and their health is priority. Despite their dust, we love our birds and their huge personalities all the same. Contact us and meet some of the birds here at the rescue!

If you’ve followed us for long, you’ve probably noticed that we’ve been helping less and it breaks my heart but we had to slow down to stay afloat. Cleaning stalls a couple years ago I was overcome with emotion after reading a tearful post from a rescue shutting their doors and I was terrified we’d be next. The old grey horse below put his head on my shoulder and I was so thankful for him and so thankful for his appreciative owner who begged us to take him after he could no longer keep his farm. He donated round pen panels, saddles, all sorts of equipment to thank us for keeping his old boy safe and his words “God Bless the Rescuers” played like a country song. You might remember my post making a weird request looking for a male singer and that viral post connected us to a fantastic artist that turned the song in my head into a really great one that could top the charts! Well now what?
We wanted to help our rescue of course but there’s so many other rescues helping the abused, starving and neglected and they all have financial fears because having a heart bigger than your wallet sucks. After prayer and collaboration with people a lot smarter and more talented than me, an entire music album dedicated to animals and the people that help them was born. ❤️ The best part is that we’ve included 501c3 rescues from all over the country and you can choose your favorite nonprofit to receive the $10 proceeds when you purchase the album! We’ve all seen trends virally sweep the nation and wouldn’t it be AMAZING if a trend for good, a lifeline for rescues raised millions effortlessly?
