One of the goals of MUCH is to be a repository for horse competition rules. There are many different types of horse competitions, including racing, dressage, show jumping, and endurance riding.
Racing
Flat racing: A type of horse racing
Jump racing: A type of horse racing
Harness racing: A type of horse racing
Endurance racing: A type of horse racing where riders cover a set distance as quickly as possible
Dressage
A competition that evaluates a horse's training, responsiveness, and obedience to the rider
A discipline that involves performing a prescribed pattern of movements
Show jumping
An equestrian discipline that involves riding a horse over a course of jumps and obstacles
A competitive discipline that challenges a horse's agility and obedience
Eventing
An equestrian discipline that combines dressage, cross-country, and show jumping
A "triathlon" discipline that tests the versatility and endurance of the rider and horse
Reining
A Western riding style that emphasizes the bond between horse and rider
A dressage discipline that takes place at a gallop
Other horse competitions include:
Polo, Hunter-jumper competitions, Vaulting, Cutting, Gymkhana, Barrel racing, and Team chasing.

Now lets get the rules for each one and keep them up to date so everyone knows how to compete perfectly.

Many are asking - what is the purpose of MUCH - The purpose of a horse council is to advocate for the horse industry and to provide a voice for equine organizations and businesses. MUCH is not just about horses - it is about everything that supports our horses - all our providers, all our service people, our riders, our enthusiasts. We are inclusive, non partisan and passionate about everything equine related.

Our next meeting will be on February 24th at 6pm. We will be meeting at the Beach Restaurant. This meeting will be held to finalize many aspects of the launch of MUCH.
We invite all groups and all people to attend this meeting. Our network is expanding as you are reading this. We welcome all input and we look forward to working with everyone to make MUCH a powerful force in the Marion County Florida equine landscape.
