A little update on what’s been going on, and hopefully back to regular updates 🤞😅

About 2 weeks ago when I came down to Florida for the weekend I decided to bring Quinn to a local show, I haven’t ridden Quinn in over a year about last under saddle show was back in the beginning of 2020. Even though she got a little tired towards the end of the show and even got spooked by some attack moss 😅 we placed top 3 in all of our classes!

Last weekend I made my official move back home to Florida and Nora came with me! I had such and amazing time living in Alabama for the last year and I have learned so much and I’m looking forward to using the knowledge I have learned to train my current horses and new ones I get in.

My first week back and I have already worked with two new wild ones!
The first one is a 9 year old DG mare now named maple
And the second one is a 5 year old Eagle, NV gelding now named Mendler.

I’ve been horrible at posting updates as usual but Nora has been progressing really well!

We officially have one week until the 2021 AL TIP Challenge starts. I’m lucky that I don’t have to travel anywhere for this challenge as it is here in AL.

I have been a gelding person for the last couple of years and I’ve had my heart set in wanting a gelding, but I’ve fallen in love with this mare and her personality ❤️

She is getting groomed and ready for the show thanks to Green Horse Organics and her halters for the show came in from Ridge Creek Tack and her polos came in from Polos Over Bros!

Nora has been learning lots of new things this week! The past couple of days I have just been working on her moving forward, learning to lunge and changes of direction. Today we got some forward leading ( she likes to just take a couple of steps at a time, but we will work to getting more) and worked on re- haltering which she did really well with!

Nora and I made our way to Alabama this morning and she settled in really well! I was able to walk right up to her in our session this evening and rub both sides of her and she reached out and wanted me to scratch her face ( and I might have found her itchy spot! 😅)

She also got her mane brushed out and detangled and all braided❤️

Introducing my draw for the 2021 Alabama TIP challenge!

A 4 yr old sorrel mare from the Paisley Desert HMA in Oregon. Looking forward to see what the two of us can accomplish together, and prepare the best we can to compete in November.

Going to actually try and keep updates posted on this mare.

I’m finally back to social media! 😅🤦‍♀️ long post ahead…

I had some health issues and decided to take a break from social media while I dealt with them, but I am doing good and ready to be back to posting!

I finished the makeover with Adelaide, and we finished 8th overall for my first adult competition! And she found an amazing home in north Florida!

I found a new love for Western dressage, and thanks to Mirka I was able to compete in the international western dressage show and had so much fun filming my tests.

Now I am starting my journey with a new challenge horse.. I am competing for the second time in the 2021 Alabama tip challenge, and I pick up my draw tomorrow!

I’m going to do a giveaway with whoever gets the closest guess to what my pick is: color, age, gender, state and or hma..

I’m still doing bad about posting updates, but we are making amazing progress, we have walk trot undersaddle, and just started to canter. This mare is so amazing and is so patient with me when I am nervous to do something.

Adelaide will be available through the virtual auction during the KY EMM in June, if you would like any more information or pictures/videos about her please message me!

I’ve been horrible at posting updates on Adelaide but she is doing amazing!!

Last weekend Adelaide attended her first ( and my second) Double Dan Horsemanship clinic here at Southern Cross Ranch. She did so good and we learned so much. Thanks to Mirka we already had a start on liberty and the clinic helped us learn more and how to progress! She has about 10 rides on her now ( only 2 have been undersaddle and the rest of them ba****ck) all rides have been in the arena, and she is so calm and comfortable riding in there even with other horses circling her and riding and doing things on all sides of her. I’m super proud of the progress we are making together! I also got her another new halter from Double Dan 😅 and she is just so pretty in purple ❤️

Also last month I competed in my first International Liberty Horse Association virtual show with one of Mirka’s horses Stormy, we competed in the novice lead line class and novice liberty class where we got 1st in lead line and 3rd in liberty.

Adelaide update!

This mare is doing really well with training, she is still a little nervous at times but she tries her hardest for me!

We have been working on two line driving, backing up, yielding her hindquarters, flexing, and wearing the saddle. And yesterday I was able to lay over her for the first time!

Adelaide’s favorite thing to do after each session is going for walks around the property and on the trails. And found out that she really likes water.
