Hello my name is Christina, I am 19 years old and am an honor graduate from Vanguard High School, I recently received an opportunity to run and manage my own training barn and have full access to a 7 stall barn, a lit and sanded riding arena, a 60 ft round pen, along with 2 paddocks * I will be working on putting up a 3rd and clearing another 3 ½ acre 4th paddock.* I have shown in western pleasure
, showmanship, trail, and horsemanship classes and have been very successful. I love animals, and have ever since I was young. I was an active member of the FFA throughout both middle and high school. I received four years of veterinary assisting training in high school and received a Veterinary Assistant Certification after passing the Certified Veterinary Assisting exam with a 98. I know how to give injections all three ways (IV,ID, and IM injections) and provide medical care which can include bandaging, treating colic, and pain management. I believe in working with your horse and creating a bond through ground work and then once your horse is comfortable, working up to saddling and riding. I train using Clint Anderson's training methods combined with my own riding experience and knowledge and have found them very useful. I have found my methods very successful in gaining trust and confidence with your horse. I have a soft but confident riding hand and work on your horse's level to build up confidence and trust. If your horse is young enough and has the right mind set I can even attempt to teach them to lie down and bow with positive reinforcement training. Breaking and Training Horses (Starting 2 year olds)
