Back in the late ‘90’s, I started having serious thoughts about commercial dog food and realized how lacking it was in nutritional value. That’s when I decided to do something. At the time, nobody was talking about “raw feeding” or “Fresh Pet” food. A few years later, I found a company who was selling “air-dried” dog food and it wasn’t cheap.
A few years later, my beloved Murphy was diagnosed with lymphoma and my research and determination became my passion. I started with dehydrating meats and then I started creating recipes to augment the meat and to create a complete line of food and treats, that far surpasses any commercial food.
I use organic pumpkin, kale, blueberries, nutritional yeast, organ meats, flax seed, and sweet potatoes. These items are nutrient dense—full of antioxidants, glucosamine, chondroitin, vitamins, minerals, fiber, and yes, protein. I never add any sugars, glycerin, or grains, which only add bulk and weight-not nutrition. In fact, the sugars and glycerin that are used by commercial dog food manufacturers are actually the cause of serious problems.
I may not have the cheapest food and snacks on the market, but I promise that my food and snacks will change your dog’s life-for the better. I am a firm believer in raw feeding and all of my products make it possible for every dog to recognize the amazing benefits without all the work of preparing special meals. Freeze dried or air-dried- my food has a shelf life of 15+ years when stored correctly.
I rescued a “special needs” puppy about 7 years ago. Born with 2 major heart conditions and on heart medication twice a day, his condition was labeled as “severe”. He was 8 months old when he came to live with me. 3 years later his condition was down graded from “severe” to moderate and one year later I stopped all of his heart meds. It’s been 3 years of zero heart medications and he is thriving!
