✨ Important Oblong Update ✨

Just a reminder that February 4th will be my last day grooming in Oblong. I can’t thank you all enough for the support, loyalty, and love you’ve shown me over the past few months. It truly means more than I can put into words. 💛

I know many of you have mentioned or even booked with us at our Teutopolis location, and I am so thankful to those who are continuing this journey with me! I personally am not available to groom your pups in t-town, but one of my groomers is available and would be happy to!

After a lot of thought and many attempts to make this work, I have made the very difficult decision to permanently close my Oblong grooming location on February 4th. This was never part of my plan, and it truly breaks my heart to share this news.

With the expansion of my first location into doggy daycare, I can no longer split myself between two shops. I have also been unsuccessful in finding another groomer to step in here in Oblong, and after exhausting all options, this is the decision I have had to make.

I know Teutopolis is quite a drive from here, but my amazing staff there would be more than happy to welcome you and your pups. If it works for you, you would also have the option to utilize our doggy daycare services at that location as well.

From the bottom of my heart, thank you. I have truly enjoyed getting to know each and every one of you, and of course, all of the sweet pups I’ve had the privilege to groom. The trust you placed in me and the support you’ve shown this business means more than I can put into words.

I am deeply sorry for any inconvenience this may cause and for the unexpected nature of this announcement. Please know this decision did not come easily, and it comes with a very heavy heart.

Thank you for the memories, the kindness, and the love you’ve shown since I opened here. Oblong will always hold a special place in my heart. 🐾💙

Hi everyone! ❤️🐾

I’m sorry I’ve been a little MIA lately — between some life happenings and expanding my first location, I haven’t been as present here as I normally would be. Thank you all for your patience and continued support!

I am still grooming at the Oblong location, but I am officially fully booked for December, and January is quickly filling up. If you want to stay on my books and guarantee a spot, I highly recommend booking two appointments in advance.

I am still accepting new clients at this time, but spots are extremely limited and I’m currently booking 4–6 weeks out.

⭐️ With that being said, I am still looking to add a groomer to my team here in Oblong! If you have one year of grooming experience or have completed a hands-on grooming program with certification, please message me. I’d love to talk with you!

I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving, and I’ll be back in the shop Wednesday, December 3rd. 🐶✨

📸 It took about 10 tries to get this one photo of this cute little guy, Reggie!

Half of them he had his eyes closed, and in the others he was determined to hide both ears from me.

So we compromised — only one ear hidden but eyes open! 🤣

Gotta love these little models who make us work for the perfect shot! 💕🐾

🌟 This sweet boy is making so much progress — and it’s only his second groom! 🐾

While he still has a few wet spots and stray hairs, the improvement from his first visit to his second groom yesterday was incredible to see. 💕

No groomer ever wants to send a pup out the door less than perfect, but there’s such an important balance between giving them a positive experience and working toward that picture-perfect groom. The goal is always progress, comfort, and confidence — and this boy is well on his way! 🐶✨
