We had the most wonderful afternoon! We took a few of the animals for a visit to see friends at Murrayville Baptist Church ⛪ today and had the best time. So many faces we hadn't seen in a while. How exciting! The animals were over the moon 🌙 But...we have to admit, BASIL was the STAR ⭐ He was the best boy. His manners were nothing less than superb and everyone thought he was amazing!! Basil we are so proud of you ❤️

What a wonderful morning at Double H Farm & Rescue! 🌞

We had the pleasure of welcoming Shannon, Justin, and their family to the farm this morning, and what a FUN time we had! There was plenty of excitement, smiles, curiosity, and, of course, lots of treats and love being shared with our four-legged family members.

Our animals certainly enjoyed all the extra attention, and we're pretty sure a few of them are already wondering when their new friends will be coming back! 🥰

Shannon, Justin, and family, thank you so much for spending part of your morning with us and making memories with our rescue family. Visitors like you make what we do even more special!

The barn doors are always open, so please come see us again! ❤️

Hey friends!! Just a little follow up on Phoenix 🐦‍🔥. He is out and about and doing well. He and Nestor have become pretty close lately. We're thinking both boys are going to be just fine.

FRIENDS, FAMILY, FOLLOWERS… OUR DOUBLE H VILLAGE, WE NEED YOU!

Over the next week and a half, we are asking our village to lift Double H Farm & Rescue up in prayer. 🙏🐴🐐🐑

We have applied for a grant, and the decision will be handed down soon. If we are blessed with approval, it would lift a tremendous financial burden from our shoulders and allow us to redirect those expenses toward the animals who need us most—our rescue intakes. Every dollar we can free up means more resources for the neglected, abandoned, and abused livestock who come through our gates needing a second chance.

Last year, our application was denied. But rather than give up, we took that experience as an opportunity to learn, research, and educate ourselves. We have worked hard to strengthen our application and have stepped out in faith to try again, holding onto hope that this time the outcome will be different.

Now, we wait, we hope, and we pray. 🙏

We know that God's plans don't always look like our plans, and His timing doesn't always match ours. But we trust that He knows the needs of this rescue and every precious life He has entrusted to our care.

We aren't asking you to open your wallets today. We're simply asking you to join us in prayer. Pray for favor, pray for the decision-makers, and pray that if this opportunity is part of God's plan for Double H Farm & Rescue, the doors will open.

As always, our mission remains the same: to be a voice for the voiceless and a safe haven for His less fortunate livestock creatures. ❤️

Thank you for standing beside us, believing in our mission, and being the village that helps us keep going when the road gets difficult.

Whatever the outcome, we will continue to trust the One who called us to this work.

HELP WANTED AT DOUBLE H FARM & RESCUE!

We’re looking for a reliable, dependable, and responsible individual to help us keep the farm running smoothly from November 25th through November 29th.

Duties include feeding, watering, and a few light farm chores to keep our four-legged residents happy and cared for.

⚠️ PLEASE NOTE: THIS IS THANKSGIVING WEEK! ⚠️

If you have experience working around horses and livestock, are comfortable with farm chores, and are willing to lend a helping hand, we’d love to hear from you!

WENT TO SLEEP A JACK… WOKE UP A JOHN! 😁😎

Well, folks, Phoenix had himself a BIG day today! Our boy went in for a little routine maintenance and came out with a whole new outlook on life! 🫏✂️

Now, Phoenix wasn't exactly consulted on this career change, and we're pretty sure he didn't sign the paperwork. One minute, he's strutting around like the CEO of the Donkey Department, and the next thing he knows, management has made some permanent staffing adjustments! 🤣

We're calling it an unexpected retirement from the breeding business. His position has been eliminated, his benefits have been revised, and his future now consists of eating, napping, looking handsome, and minding his own business. 😂

Phoenix may have lost a couple of important accessories today, but don't feel too sorry for him. He's recovering nicely, and we're expecting him to milk this situation for all the sympathy, treats, and attention he can get. 🍎🥕🤣

Please respect his privacy during this difficult transition from Jack to John. 😉

BREAKING NEWS

Dr. Nestor Bojangles is preparing for surgery!

After years of specialized training in the fine art of looking cute and demanding snacks, Dr. Bojangles is finally putting his medical expertise to work.

His surgical table is ready, his instruments are laid out, and his medical supplies are within hoof's reach. He's even got his own mobile surgical unit parked right behind him! 😂

He has assured us that he's fully qualified, although his medical degree may have come from the University of Hay-vard. His specialty is Equine-ology, with a minor in emergency treat administration! 🥕

We believe he thinks he's going to be operating on Phoenix, but judging by that expression, he's wondering when lunch will be served. 😎
