Did you know dogs can actually smell time passing? 🤯🐶
It sounds like magic, but it’s pure science. Your dog tracks time using two amazing tools: their biological circadian rhythm (their internal clock) and the decay of your unique scent!
As you leave a room, your scent lingers in the air and slowly evaporates throughout the day. Because dogs have such a powerful sense of smell, they use your fading scent like a giant hourglass. When your scent weakens to a specific level, they know exactly when it’s 5:00 PM and time for dinner! ⏳🥩
So, if your pup is begging for food early, they might just be telling you that your scent is wearing off.

This is a BIG deal in our house. 🥹❤️

Crooked is 14. Shadow is 1. Both were adopted from shelters, but they came into our lives at completely different stages of theirs.

And let’s just say… Crooked has been very resistant to the idea of having a little brother. 😂

We’ve given her the space and time to adjust on her own terms, and today, for the first time, they chose to sit this close together.

No cuddling yet… we’re not getting ahead of ourselves. 😂 But we’ll absolutely take this little win. 🐾❤️

We originally purchased our first elevated dog dish for our elderly husky that suffered from severe arthritis. She had unfortunately passed away shortly after we purchased it. During that short time she was obsessed with having her food raised, and we called her dishes her lunch table. After she passed, it was nice that we could have the nameplate as a remembrance of her and that we could order a new nameplate for the new puppy that joined our family months later.
