This is Ash, a 4 ish month old mix breed. She is looking for her family. Found near Oakland Forest and Lake View condominiums off of N Oakland Forest Drive . She has had her preliminary checkup and shots. In good health and looks to be very well taken care of. She is a little shy inside the home and likes to hide but is slowly warming up. Any information as to where her parents may be would be greatly appreciated.

Please share!! Bella Jane update 🙏❤️🐶
Our girl is doing amazing and making great strides at Southeast Veterinary Neurology. The doctors are wonderful and providing us constant updates. Bella is now starting to use her hind legs again and though it will be a long road ahead for our girl, we are optimistic that she will be able to once again lead a normal life. Bella Jane’s owners have informed us that they are unable to provide the care that she will now need, so we are looking for an experienced foster where Bella will be able to recover. This will include pain management, crating and allowing sweet Bella to recover from her injuries in a quiet and non-stressful environment. All supplies, medication and food to be provided by UDR. Please message if interested!

Update on Bella Jane 🙏
This poor girl had her third surgery today and is resting comfortably while her pain is being managed! She is a fighter and we are all hopeful and optimistic that she will make a full recovery! Her medical bills are well over $10,000 but we will not give up on our sweet girl! Donations towards Bella Jane’s medical care can be made directly to the veterinarian (please state it is for Bella Jane ) or UDR as we have taken responsibility for these medical costs.

Bella Jane needs our help!. Sadly, she was hit by a car this past weekend. Bella Jane came to United Dog Rescue as a stray, found in a Walmart parking lot and was adopted out to a wonderful family through UDR. Unfortunately, she escaped her yard and was injured by a hit and run driver. Bella Jane's mom immediately called us and asked that we help Bella, because she did not want to put her sweet girl down and UDR has agreed to help with the costs of her surgery and recovery. Once a United dog always a United Dog! Bella's injuries to her pelvis are extensive and she is being treated by the best at BluePearl Pet Hospital of Fort Lauderdale. She has had two intricate surgeries and is on her way to a neurlogist for a spine evaluation. Please consider donating to the medical needs for this beatiful baby who is only 2 years old and has a lot of life left to live. You can donate to Blue Pearl directly or to UDR using the Facebook donate button. As always, we thank you for your continued support!

Gunther is a survivor. Sadly his original loving owner passed away. He endured some time in the rescue environment until a kind soul volunteered to foster him when they heard about his story. Gunther has acclimated to this foster home and they have decided to adopt him. Being an older guy and having to overcome sadness it has been discovered that Gunther has a heart ❤️ condition that cannot go untreated. Gunther is doing his best and we have all done our best to help him but sometimes it takes a village. If you can without it hurting you too much would you please consider donating to Sawgrass Cardiology Veterinary for his ongoing care? He would be able to live the rest of his life with some sort of comfort and the right kind of care. Please donate by calling Sawgrass Cardiology Veterinary / Access Specialty Animal Hospital at 954-487-8357 for Gunther patient number CA221CAF

Many of you may remember Ginger. This dog was found a long time ago with mange, sick, abandoned, pregnant, broken, and close to death because of her health. Ginger is a true survivor! All her puppies got mange from her and they had to be separated from her and be bottle feed because she was too weak to nurse them. Ginger wanted nothing to do with people and was terrified of just about everything! She had to be placed with a specialized foster that had experience with trauma. She was rehabilitated with her foster to a certain degree and moved to another foster where she thrived! She gained weight and the second foster was able to gain her trust! Then we finally found her a forever home. She even had a carbon copy of her as her brother and a family with kids! Happy ending right? Well, not so fast. We will spare you the story of how we came to find out she no longer lived with that family. What we can say is she is back with a foster, a vet tech, who cannot keep her because she is not allowed to have pets where she lives. You may be wondering the reason why the family chose to abandon her yet again… well apparently the other doggy, the carbon copy of her, liked her a little too much, if you know what we mean, and his romantic gestures were not as PG or ideal for them and their small kids. Well this is the sad reality of some of the wonderful adoption stories that we want to believe in, but it really hurts when it’s a case like this because it took a lot of work by a lot of people to gain her trust and heal her brokenness, only to be let down again! Ginger is fully recovered and is with a caring foster but she needs somebody that can commit to her and will not dump her or run if something comes up. We need to believe a person that will show her that love, real love, exists and that not all humans will let her down! If you are someone who has love to give and wants to meet Ginger please contact Tammy (954) 560-1595 for more info 💙
