It’s the most wonderful time of the year!

Every year it seems I get a fun restoration project to work on in addition to all the deer heads. This year, a customer reached out with a damaged elk skull needing repair. He also had an old American bison skull that he wanted restored as well. Being my first skull mount for both species, I took on the challenge and they turned out great! Before and after pictures down below!

Little late on sharing, but another batch of deer heads went back to customers homes to commemorate their successful hunts! Deadheads, Nebraska whitetails, a huge South Dakota whitetail, and a monster South Dakota muley!

I definitely like the bright white European mounts but I decided to take a couple of my own deer to get hydro-dipped and they look awesome! Seth Eggerling with Eggerling Blasting & Refinishing in Norfolk does great work and I highly recommend checking out his page if you’re interested in getting anything hydro -dipped! He can get any color or graphic imaginable so I might have to do the “Led’s Heads” logo next!

Been busy working on Nebraska rifle deer. First batch of bucks finished and heading back to their forever homes

Still churning out 2021 Nebraska rifle deer. Finished up a few more very nice deer; beautiful dark colors, palmated antlers, extra stickers and kickers! It’s definitely true, no two deer are ever the same!

One of the many things I’ve learned doing taxidermy is how to touch up faded antlers. This is the perfect example.. a good friend brought me a deadhead that died right after loosing its velvet. The deer hadn’t had a chance to rub its antlers on anything to get that famous brown color so they were completely white. He requested that I recolor the antlers, and… well the pictures tell the rest. Chase Arduser

Finished with the biggest whitetail I’ve ever euro mounted to date. 150”+ monster! Going back to a return customer in South Dakota.
