After researching we believe our winged friend 😉 is a GIRL! We need a name that starts with a "G". Like "____" the G***e.

I forgot to snap a picture (will tomorrow), but we did get her all situated outside in a outdoor dog run with a roof, pool, grass hay to bed down in, and crumble to munch on until I get to town tomorrow.

I am hoping to find some feeder insects (eww 🤢), feeder minnows, and pond plants to add to her diet. Would love to find some clover, dandelions, and grass WITH roots for her as well. Open for suggestions too!

She is settling in well with very minimal contact ( on purpose).

He was adopted today to a good friend Michelle Turner and her husband. This little guy will be loved and SO SPOILED with them! We are in RWRA together so I will get to see him grow up❤️

Tomorrow the puppies will be 8wks old!

We need to do 1st set of shots and deworming! If anyone would like to sponsor a puppy it would help tremendously! $20 sponsorship for each puppy would cover 1st vaccine and deworm. There are 6 total!

Edit: for those that do not know me personally, I spent years at the wildlife rehab wrapping wings, legs, toes, etc. I do have experience and the knowledge to help this winged friend. We NEVER take on something beyond our knowledge and will ALWAYS refer out for issues beyond our knowledge ❤️

Can't post this to my personal page but I am sure this following understands why laws might have been bent a little. 😬

Everyone, including the local wildlife rehab facility turned this youngster down! Refused to intake it, treat it, or give the finder the time of day! As always, we opened our home, heart, and arms to help this guy/girl.

Assumed to be this spring's baby, now juvenile has a broken wing. He/she has been given pain medication, wing wrap, food, water, and we will set up an outdoor run for it to heal in before returning to the wild.

ALL GOD'S CREATURES DESERVE HELP! ALL OF THEM!

Happy puppies! Made the playpen bigger for them. Getting big! They love to play with Ace.

Will be 8wks old Tuesday and available for adoption! Spay/Neuter contracts and small adoption fee.

Teachable moment! Today Ace "nipped" me.....

So, as many of you know Ace has recently joined Diamonds in the Rough Rescue looking for his PERFECT, ACTIVE FAMILY!

Ace, however, was BRED to be nippy, fast, reactive, prey driven, but overall a very friendly, happy boy. Ace is Australian Cattle Dog and Border Collie. When these INHERITED TRAITS show themselves, you absolutely CAN NOT discipline them for it, it is NATURALLY BORN BEHAVIOR! Yes, we redirect certain behaviors that are natural for him and present as a FAVORABLE option.
These 2 breeds, INDIVIDUALLY, are both fantastic WORKING BREEDS. His genetics from both make him a VERY active, smart, agile, and willing to please guy, BUT they should NEVER be bred without a job lined up!
Ace, being the puppy he is at 6 months old, is still learning how to regulate his inherited traits. For THIS reason alone, we will NOT adopt Ace out to a home with small children, a shy, timid owner, or a laid back, kick back, household.
Ace NEEDS an experienced working breed handler, active home, and/or a job! He loves to snuggle with his person (currently me😞) but is still very much mouthy. He means NO HARM, he is still learning what is acceptable and what is not. Since being here Ace has learned leash manners, pack manners, sit, wait, "go to bed", working on "leave it", and has a GREAT recall.

PLEASE help us find Ace the perfect, forever home!

Something I would like to address about lost/found dogs!

If we, Diamonds in the Rough Rescue, ever hold your dog whether it be a day or a week, we NEVER CHARGE for you to get your dog back! It is our goal to reunite pets with families, NOT make money doing so!

ONLY EXCEPTION is if you say you are picking them up and don't show up. You will be charged a $30 "boarding fee" per day that you do not show up. After 30 days the animals will be considered abandoned and placed up for adoption!

We genuinely want to keep your pets SAFE and OUT OF THE SHELTER where it can costs 100s of dollars to get your pet back and expose them to all sorts of illnesses. ! We NEVER accept any "rewards" or "finder fees"!

We are hoping to get some dog kennels/runs put up just for strays in our new community! If you have a dog pen you would like to donate it will be put to good use!

This fella is currently here at Diamonds in the Rough Rescue in Anderson/Happy Valley staying safe and cool. If he is yours or you know the owner PLEASE reach out to us! We will take him tomorrow to get scanned for a microchip, make a found report with Haven, and post to Social Media! He is safe here until owners are found.

Pupdate! Running behind on weight day and bath day ( usually tuesdays) but everyone is fat, happy, bathed, and clean bedding. Will add some pictures and current weights.

They are eating like champs and will be 7 weeks old on the 15th! These babies will need GOOD, SOLID, FOREVER homes very soon! With that said we need to get vaccines and dewormer for all 6!

We prefer to order from Valley Vet Supply as they are a reliable source and shipped properly. These are packs of 10. That would do everyone's 1st set and 4 towards the 2nd set if still here with us.

We DESPERATELY need more canned dog food! These babies are getting big and eating SO MUCH FOOD!

We feed 1 large can ( 2 small cans) at EVERY feeding! That is 4x a day! The puppies get the following at EVERY FEEDING:
* 1 large can (2 small cans) of canned food
* 4 cups of crunchy dog food
* 1/4 a can of formula
* 1/2 cup water
All ran through our food processor which has been a game changer for sure! This creates a mash they can safely chew, swallow, and absorb.

Amount we go through EVERY DAY:
* 4 large cans ( 8 small cans)
* 16 cups of crunchy food
* 1 entire can of Step 2 formula
* 2 cups water

THIS is ALOT to go through EVERY DAY! We appreciate any/all donations to get these puppies to adaptable age! We accept Venmo, Direct drop off/pick up, Amazon orders ( our favorite), and FB pay. Please PM for Venmo info and/or mailing address. THANK YOU VILLIAGE!

Just want to share a couple products recommended by our Vet that are absolutely AMAZING.

1st- medicated shampoo for Pip's hives and allergies! Vet stated " I COULD write her a RX shampoo BUT this product works just as well if not better and is more affordable for private rescues like yourself" ! Nothing better than an HONEST VET!
***MAKE SURE it is the one that says CALM

2nd- all natural, non-toxic for pets and people, mineral enriched wound care cream! The litter of 6 surrendered had nursed on each other's manly parts causing them to be raw and the start of infection. This cream is AMAZING and healed them up in 2-3 DAYS! Also, a friend had a horse "accident" that ripped skin off her forearm. 1 application and 100% turn around, nice healthy pink skin coming in, no infection, and relief!

BOTH of these products can be found on Amazon and are very affordable!
