More updates from adopters! THANK YOU!

Dusty (one of the poodles that came in) got a brand new haircut! How adorable! He is a very happy boy with his new mom who absolutely adores him!

CORRECTION- The flame point siamese **this little one was found down by the river and a kind lady picked him up and got him to safety ( I got this one mixed up with the Calico incubator baby that did come in sick), oopsies.**He has siblings to play with and snuggle, and an absolutely amazing adopter!

**Don't forget! We still need homes for Auggy, Ace, Soldier, CeeCee, and Puppy (the other senior poodle)! ***

‼️Horse people in the Anderson (Shasta County) area‼️

According to the local livestock vet there is a Pigeon Fever outbreak with NUMEROUS confirmed cases!

Pigeon Fever is spread from flies! Keep manure picked up! Keep fly spray/drops on your horses, flies are STILL out! Be aware of biosecurity measures as the drainage can also spread it! It can live in the ground/dirt for YEARS, get and apply Barn Lyme!

IF you believe you have a horse with Pigeon Fever PLEASE QUARANTINE THEM!

So far 🙏NONE of our horses have it but we will stay vigilant and watch for any signs or symptoms.

Adoption updates!

1st- the flame point siamese that was found abandoned at the river, sick, and full of fleas. He was treated, bottle raised, then adopted by a WONDERFUL family! He has grown ALOT!

2nd- the tiny pitbull puppy that was saved out of a homeless camp by Rocky Ranch Lynne Jensen. She was bottle raised here as well and is HUGE now! She also has a wonderful family!

**We STILL need to find Ace, Auggy, Puppy, and CeeCee homes** The new kid Soldier will be available next week if no other seizures or health issues arise.

‼️We need CANNED DOG FOOD‼️

We have ran out of canned dog food!

Auggy and the seniors require canned dog food with crunchy dog food. I tried to weaned Auggy off the canned food and he dropped significant weight so had to add it back!

We have 2 seniors with NO TEETH here and a 3rd senior with very few teeth who also rely on the canned food.

Usually my hoof trimming pays for it but with mom still in the hospital (rehab) I have not been able to trim hooves! I am also currently fighting for my disability due to my back. Being in-between like this has absolutely depleted our funds.

If anyone would like to help I can swing by tractor supply this afternoon, or Walmart. We have Venmo as well as accept gate drop off, mail orders, and pick ups.

Just a couple friendly reminders who is available and on how we operate.

*Ace- URGENT- Australian Cattle Dog x Border Collie (approx.9 month old male) Needs a knowledgeable handler and a JOB! NO SMALL KIDS!

*Auggy- Believed to be Shepherd mix (approx 9-10wk old male), 1st shots given, 2nd due next week, 1st deworm done as well.

*CeeCee- Beautiful, friendly, litterbox trained, playful, eating both canned and crunchy food. (approx 8-10wk old female)

*Cali- the calico female that came in sick and tiny. She has a "potential adopter hold" until she is a little bigger and not requiring the incubator to stay warm. She is eating canned food well, will introduce crunchy food soon, litterbox trained, affectionate, and playful. She is well now but needs to grow still.

**WE DO NOT do adoptions during Christmas week! We also DO NOT do adoptions during Valentines Day week either!

This is not because we have "plans" or "family gatherings", it is to protect the animals we love!

PETS ARE NOT PRESENTS! They are permanent FAMILY MEMBERS!

Does this limit adoptions? YES! Do we like to hold them longer than necessary? NO, we are full! Will we continue to protect them by NOT being "Christmas presents" or Valentine's Day presents? ABSOLUTELY!

ALL animals under 2yrs old will be adopted with a SPAY/NUETER CONTRACT! We follow the advise of our vet teams on this!

Just got word from our hay supplier there is no more hay until further notice!

We are down to 7 bales! I am panicking! Our supplier allows us to run a tab. Our funds are depleted!

WE NEED HELP!

‼️We have a couple needs:

If anyone has a couple energy saver space heaters, we could really use some. We can also use more canned dog food, and doggy/kitty sweaters!

With temperatures dropping and only a fireplace to warm the entire house, we have a couple rooms that stay pretty chilly once temperatures hit 50 degrees. I do NOT run the fireplace over night, house fires scare the crap out of me after mom's happened.

We need a heater for the "senior room" and the soon to be "kitty room". We do use sweaters and beds but that only helps so much. We have tried the "heated pads" for dogs but surprisingly they dont seem to like them much.

With mom STILL in the hospital and me not able to hoof trim funds are super tight right now.

Don't forget we still have a female kitten and a male puppy available for adoption! Auggy's nails have been clipped since the photo was taken.

This sweet girl is ready for her forever home! She wants to free roam but its not safe to do that here with all the dogs...

This sweet girl is ready for her forever home! She wants to free roam but its not safe to do that here with all the dogs.

She is very loving, cuddly, good appetite (canned and crunchy food), litterbox trained, and approx 12 weeks old now!

I cannot move the calico out of the incubator until this girl is adopted due to their size difference, its just not safe.

Spay Contract required!
Small adoption "fee" is 2 donated flats of canned dog food.

I forgot to post this on Friday!

BIG THANK YOU to Tery Scott for coming out Friday and helping get the quarantine shelter up ( we were expecting a new intake that didnt arrive)! There was absolutely NO WAY I could have done that by myself! She is one tough cookie! Will get pictures tomorrow as its dark tonight already.

On the plus side, we now have a QT pen/shelter open if we need to use it.

UPDATE- After spending 2 days getting the QT pen ready, we were just informed they will be keeping her.

New intake-

On Saturday we will have a new equine intake. I have closed intakes 90% because until mom is well its just me here, HOWEVER, this new kid NEEDS US.

She is said to be 2yrs old, already has trauma, and needs a human to trust. We were told her feet are overgrown but not familiar with a farrier or foot work. We will work on that right away. Also told she is "flighty" but willing. This girl is said to be sweet but guarded.

A wonderful lady was able to get her out of an ugly situation and reached out. We couldn't say no, this horse needs us.

With that said, if anyone would like to donate towards her stay it would be greatly appreciated. Ways to help:

Available for adoption!

Auggy (approx 9-10wks old) is said to be a shepherd mix, has had 1st shots (2nd due soon), 1st deworm, eats crunchy food mixed with canned food, and loves attention. He is ready to get out of the puppy playpen!

BB (approx 8wks old) is a little tabby kitten we took in, healed up, dewormed, and is ready to go. She is eating both canned and crunchy food mixed as well as using the litter box. She loves affection and playing with her toys!

Ace (approx 7-8 months old) needs either a working home or very active person! He wants to please so bad and we are holding back his true potential! He is Australian Cattle Dog x Border Collie!
