Alex & Kelly Seiler of Seiler Performance Horses are honored to donate this beautiful 12-year-old bay Quarter Horse mare in a 48-hour auction to benefit a cause that’s deeply personal to our community and our hearts.
💔 100% of the proceeds from this auction will go to honor the vibrant life of 14-year-old Addy Hager, whose joyful and adventurous spirit left a lasting mark on everyone she met. The funds will also support Lane Skaggs, a strong and courageous young man recovering from severe injuries sustained in the same tragic accident.
Your bid isn’t just for a horse—it’s a tribute to Addy, a gesture of strength for Lane, and a way to bring healing through generosity.
This lovely, well-rounded mare is receiving outstanding preparation thanks to the generosity of several incredible horsemen and women:

– Saddling
– Walk/Trot/Lope
– Ground driving
– Teaching her to spin, side pass, yield shoulders, disengage hips, and lay down

6/28/2025 Update from Cristy Dixon
After arriving home, we got the mare settled in and allowed her a day to get adjusted to her new spot. In the first session, I worked the mare to see what she knew on ground level. I found the mare to be very kind and willing. However, she did not know boundaries or respect or how to separate forequarters from her hindquarters. She allowed me to easily move her hindquarters properly with complete disengagements. When it came to the forequarters, she was resistant. When it came to leading, she was in my space. When backing, she went at an angle. When tied, she stands or moves without pulling back. When bathed or getting fly sprayed, she stands politely. She has started learning to give even more to pressure and lay down, as well. She does trailer well.
Now, she disengages even smoother and better. She is starting to move her forequarters properly and consistently. She is very respectful and mindful when leading and while working. When backing, she is straight. She is getting her feet freer and moving well. She is giving more to pressure every day and building on what she is learning. Expecting to be side passing by the weekend smooth and nice. This mare is a NICE mare and I am truly enjoying working with her!
🐎 She’ll then return Seiler Performance Horses for FREE 2 weeks of trail riding, highway safety training, and roping sled tracking, helping ensure she’s safe, confident, and ready for her next partner.

**Update from SPH:** Our mare has been successfully arena rode and trail rode, and she is now with Chad Tibbs for cattle exposure. Exciting times ahead as we continue her training journey! Video in comments!
🐂 Finally, she’ll head to Chad Tibbs (3 Arrows Ranch Performance Horses) who is donating 2 weeks of live cattle work—giving her experience tracking and roping cattle.
