I just have to tell you all about a great outcome with a lost dog I found today. Earlier this morning I noticed 2 animal control vehicles come into my neighborhood. I then noticed a husky running through my yard. I went out to try and call the dog but it was very skittish and took off with animal control following it. Later on I saw the dog run back in the area with no animal control in site. I grabbed my leash, a bowl of water, and some treats. Sat in the grass as close as I could get to him and waited. He eventually came to me and I was able to get a leash on him. Called animal control, waited over a half hour on the phone with no response. Finally decided to take him to the vet to see if he was microchipped. He was but there was only an email address. The wonderful receptionist at Northwest animal hospital noticed that the dog was microchipped at Carolina spay and neuter and called them up. They had the dogs record on file and gave the contact number. The receptionist called the owner but the owner only spoke Spanish. No wonder the dog didn’t come when I called to him😂 After trying to understand each other the lovely receptionist decided to text instead and everything was understood. The owner came to pick up the dog who was named Zeus. The dog was so happy to see his owner. Through a bit of google translate come to find out that they live in Kernersville. I live in Oak Ridge! Zeus had been missing for several days! I am so happy that I could reunite them.💕🐾
