Dogs do not generalize groomers.

A dog can be perfect for one groomer and terrified for another.
That does not make them bad.
That does not make them difficult.
And that does not mean they should be forced through it.

Dogs know who they feel safe with.

They feel energy.
They feel pressure.
They feel patience.
They feel when someone is truly listening… and when someone is just trying to “get it done.”

Not every dog is meant for every groomer.
Say it again.
Not every dog is meant for every groomer.

And honestly? That’s okay.

Sometimes the most respectful thing you can do is stop blaming the dog, stop trying to make the wrong fit work, and wait for the groomer they actually trust.

The right groomer can change everything.
The right groomer can take a dog from shut down, scared, and defensive… to soft, willing, and calm.

So listen to the dog.
Watch the body language.
Respect the hesitation.
And stop acting like every dog should automatically accept every handler.

They don’t need to be pushed harder.
They need to be heard.

Because when a dog finally finds the groomer they feel safe with, you can see the difference in everything.

And that matters more than ego ever will.

At A Stylist’s Twist Fur Styl’n you’ll find that your dog is more relaxed with the spa experience they receive because of the calm atmosphere I’ve created for them. How many of you fall asleep in the salon chair while your hair stylist is playing with your hair? I love when dogs fall asleep on my table while they’re groomed. It means I’ve created the right atmosphere for them.

Mobile Grooming Spa brought to your doorstep. You won’t hear a generator run as my equipment is remote control and battery operated. You also won’t have hot water running out and no cold water baths with my on demand hot water that’s fully adjustable for your pets comfort. How about a bubble bath with my Davis bathing system.
Call me for your one on one appointment with your fur baby. I’d love to come help with your grooming needs.
