We specialize in customized care for your pets - AND we're right in the heart of residential Oak Brook. The first kennel in Oak Brook was opened over 60 years ago and has operated at this location ever since. Long-time Oak Brook residents - Dave & Denise Grooms - took over in 2013 determined to honor the legacy of the property while expanding and modernizing it's facilities. OBKC is nestled on two

wooded and shady acres featuring stately oaks and a super-sized outdoor play area. We've got indoor and outdoor runs for dogs of all sizes. Plus, we'll care for your avian and reptilian pets while you're away too! Best of all - we're conveniently located close to YOUR home and work. We are locally-owned and operated.

Today we wrapped up our last shifts with Lauren & Olivia 💔

These two have been such a big part of our OBKC family — showing up with care, consistency, and genuine love for the dogs (and their people). While we’re sad to see them go, we’re so proud of them as they move on to new opportunities.

Their presence will be deeply missed around here — the laughs, the teamwork, the way they knew each pup’s quirks like their own.

Thank you both for everything. OBKC is better because of you. 🐶💛
