Whether you want better manners, more confidence, or simply a dog who actually listens when you say “COME!” 😆 — this class is designed to give you the tools to succeed both in class and at home.

Our first class will introduce you to the training philosophies, equipment, and techniques you’ll use throughout the program. Your pupper gets to stay home and relax for the first night! 🐾

We are so excited to share that Pretty Little Paws continues to grow! 💕 As we welcome more amazing pets and families into our salons, we’re looking to grow our team with an experienced Dog Groomer who shares our passion for exceptional pet care.

We’re looking for someone who is skilled, compassionate, dependable, and takes pride in their craft. At Pretty Little Paws, grooming is about more than a beautiful haircut—it’s about providing a safe, positive experience for every pet while building lasting relationships with their families.

🐶 What You’ll Do:
• Bathing, drying, brushing & coat care
• Breed-specific and client-requested haircuts & styling
• Nail trimming & filing and ear cleaning
• Monitor skin, coat & overall condition of pets
• Safely and compassionately handle dogs of different sizes and temperaments
• Maintain a clean, sanitized & organized workspace
• Provide an exceptional client experience from check-in to check-out

📝 Communication & Client Care Are a Big Part of the Job!

Our groomers thoroughly discuss each pet’s needs at check-in, including special requests, concerns, pricing changes and grooming expectations. They communicate with pet parents throughout the appointment when necessary and provide clear, professional follow-up.

Groomers are also responsible for:

✨ Maintaining detailed grooming & behavioral notes
✨ Documenting client preferences, special requests & upcharges

🐾 What We’re Looking For:
• Strong knowledge of coat types, grooming techniques & breed-specific cuts
• Excellent dog-handling skills
• Strong attention to detail
• Great communication & customer service skills
• Reliability, punctuality & professionalism
• Ability to work efficiently without compromising safety or quality
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift dogs up to 50 lbs.

🐾 Why Missed Appointments Matter 🐾

At Pretty Little Paws, every appointment on our schedule is reserved specifically for your pet. Because we are often booked well in advance, we unfortunately have to turn away several families every single day who are hoping to get an appointment.

When an appointment is missed without notice, it doesn’t just leave an empty spot on our schedule—it means:
• A groomer loses income they were counting on.
• Another pet misses the opportunity to be groomed.
• Our small business loses valuable time that cannot be replaced.

As a small, locally owned business, every appointment matters. Unlike some industries, we can’t fill a last-minute opening once your scheduled grooming time has arrived.

We completely understand that emergencies and unexpected situations happen, and we’re always happy to work with our clients when they communicate with us. If you know you can’t make your appointment, even a quick phone call or text gives us the opportunity to offer that time to another family waiting for an opening.
