Making a dog apart of your family is a rewarding experience for both the dog and owners. Recognizing that the dog needs some decompress and bonding time is important. A change in environment is a change in behavior and most of the time is regressional. The 3-3-3 rule is a great reminder of allowing that time for adjustment but all dogs adjust differently.

Empty dog food bowls around the house?

Dogs enjoy working for their food and will typically eat to their fill at each feeding. A feeding schedule will maintain an ideal weight and help with avoiding any eliminations in the home.
After eating, cleaning the bowl and placing somewhere away from the dog will avoid territoriality and resource guarding.
