*****PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT****
For the Hoof and Paw Shelter: if you have lost your dog, cat or whatever pet it may be, please call Hoof and Paw at 970-428-4663 (calls only) or 970-428-7568 to see if we have it. Generally a stray that is brought in to Hoof & Paw is posted within an hour. You don't have to go to the shelter to see if your pet is there. We do not have volunteers down there all the time.
Also, if you happen to go there, please DO NOT stick your hand through the fence to pet the dogs! They don't know you. You don't know them. There are consequences of sticking your hand through the fence; we will not be held responsible for you ignoring the posted signage.

All cleaned up! "Tammy Lynn" is looking for her owners; they have 5 days to claim from Hoof & Paw by calling 970-428-4663 or message us on here. After 5 days, Tammy Lynn will be fixed, vaccinated and available for adoption.

On today's episode of we found a youngin' stuck in a dumpster hole! Found in Naturita by the park area if anyone recognizes or wants to claim. Better pictures after a cleanup.
Not available for adoption YET. Owner has 5 days to claim.

Adopt a 2-Month-Old German Shepherd x Chihuahua Mix Puppy! 🐾

Sometimes the best things in life are completely unplanned—like this surprise litter of 8 absolutely adorable German Shepherd x Chihuahua mix puppies! Yep, you read that right. We’re not quite sure how it happened, but the universe (and two very sneaky dogs) had other plans. 🙈

Now we’ve got 8 little miracles—2 boys and 6 girls—looking for forever homes!

🐕 About the Mix:
A little bit shepherd smarts, a little bit Chihuahua sass—these pups are clever, loyal, feisty, and hilarious. Expect an entertaining combo of alertness, cuddles, and big-dog attitude in a fun-sized body.

Spayed/Neutered: ✅ Yes, already done!

Vaccinated: ✅ Yes, first rounds complete

REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL: Light framing, repairs and installation of new steel roofing.

Hoof and Paw is requesting bids for re-roofing of the existing Naturita shelter building along with the framing and installation of a new roof over the dog run area. A 20x12 foot shed is also in need of new roofing with some framing and sheathing repair required. Bids should include the cost of materials and labor.
