⚠️PSA TO ALL REGULAR CLIENTS⚠️
As we kickoff summer, I have a few important announcements.
TICKS
We are experiencing record breaking levels of ticks. As such, I am taking preventative measures to ensure your fur babies are safe.
1. Fine tooth combing after walks, followed up by toe, ear, and ge***al inspection. Please let me know if your dogs may have an adverse reaction to being handled in this way.
2. Lemongrass repellent. This is proven to repel mosquitoes, ticks, and fleas, while still being pet safe. If you or someone in the household has an allergy, peppermint or neem oil can be substituted.
3. Routing changes. I may change up a usual walking route to disinclude high risk areas like tall grass or wooded areas.
IF YOUR DOG GETS BITTEN: I carry tick keys on me at all times, and will remove it promptly, and save it for testing. Please let me know if you prefer I NOT remove it myself.

VACATION TIME
There are a few times I will be out of office, I sent this out individually to those it concerns!
SUMMERTIME
As I’m sure you’re all aware, the end of the school year is rapidly approaching. Congratulations to our 2026 seniors who have finished strong! As most of you are teachers, who may or may not be needing the same schedule as we’ve had these past 9 months.
Beginning JUNE 1ST, we will be knocking down to WEEKLY payments for teachers needing to reduce their usual walking schedule.
It is EXTREMELY important to note, if I do not hear from you with your days by Sunday night, your fur baby will not be on my schedule. This means I cannot guarantee availability for usual time slots. I will always try to fit you in to the best of my ability even if you forget. I want to avoid having to miss your appointments at all costs!

EXPANDING THE TEAM
This is a long time coming. I’ve gone back & forth on opening myself up to employing help, as I’ve had staffing issues in the past. My primary goal is to have a team to take over Overnight Pet Care for me, so I can cover my vacation time while also generally focus on walks, farm care, and wedding services.
A big thank you for all of your support as we move into the second “official” year of Wags & Whiskas. We recently hit our 100th client, and it is SUCH an honor every single day to live my dream doing what I love. I truly treasure every single one of those sweet faces that bring me endless entertainment!! 💜 It would not be possible without you!
