URGENT‼️‼️‼️
FuRRR was contacted about 2 kitties that were left behind in elderly housing when their owner passed away. They were terrified and living in a closet. FuRRR picked up these kitties and brought them to the rescue but now one of them is extremely sick and laying in a cage at Port City. We don’t have a diagnosis because the ultrasound has to be done tomorrow but we can’t give up on this sweet guy Max. We need your help because this is going to be a HUGE emergency vet bill‼️ See the estimate of $5,500‼️ We will do everything we can to save him but we need to cover the bill asap as emergency hospitals need money up front.

UPDATE 12/8 1pm - Max has had bloodwork, xrays and ultrasound done. The diagnosis is hepatic lipidosis but the underlying issue seems to be the small intestines not working properly. Basically not moving at all. The only option at this point is a feeding tube, Max will be sedated about 3pm for the tube to be inserted. Please say a prayer for him. He has been on fluids, antibiotics, liver and intestine supporters and vitamins. Max isn't in stable enough condition for biopsy of the liver or gallbladder bile so they will hold off on those and will be testing for other diseases via specialty bloodwork. We will update again tonight once we have more news. THANK YOU for donating! Max will likely be at Port City for several days!

UDPATE! - Max is a FuRRR kitty! We were unable to locate him in our system because his name was Tux at the time in 2016. Please see his kitten picture in the comments
