Meet Dirty Hairy — A Rough Start, A Bright Future
When Animal Control found Dirty Hairy wandering the streets, it was clear life hadn’t been kind to him. His long fur was tangled and dirty, and he carried the weary look of a little dog who had been fending for himself far too long. The team waited, hoping someone would come forward to claim him — but no one ever did.
At the shelter, Dirty Hairy was hesitant at first. He kept his distance from the devoted staff and volunteers, unsure if he could trust these new people. But they never gave up. With patience, compassion, and gentle care, they showed Dirty Hairy that he was safe. Day by day, he started to let his guard down.
Now, Dirty Hairy’s true spirit shines through. Once he gets to know you, he’s incredibly sweet, friendly, and full of charm. He loves exploring his surroundings, wagging his fluffy tail with pride, and even flashing the occasional playful grin once he feels comfortable.
Dirty Hairy has been fully vetted and is healthy, clean, and ready to find his forever family. He’s around 6 years old. He’s waiting for that special person or family who will give him the love and security he deserves — someone who will cherish his quirky name and even bigger heart.
