It is a small private barn that has been teaching Darien, Norwalk, Stamford and Greenwich children and adults to ride for over twenty-five years. Kathi Meenan, DVM and her staff, specialize in introducing children to horses, teaching basic to advanced English riding and horsemanship. The lessons are personalized to meet the needs of each
child, and are designed around individual needs and skills. The emphasis is on establishing a bond between both horse and rider and a fundamental understanding of the art and science of riding. Getner Barn offers highly professional, yet very relaxed (blue jeans are very much the norm) family operation.
