πŸ‘‰πŸΎ Pet owners, beware of potential toxins in the garden from insects and other wildlife!

🐜🐍 Some insects, amphibians, and wild reptiles can have natural toxins that can harm your pets.

🌺 Bees and wasps are common garden visitors that can cause pain and allergic reactions in some pets. If your pet’s face starts to swell after a bee sting, contact your veterinarian immediately for treatment.

πŸ’Š Enjoy the great outdoors safely by being prepared and cautious with your pets.πŸ‘

If your dog's Fourth of July/Summer Festivities plan is to sing the song of their people, tear up your favorite couch or head for the hills... or your cat has RSVP'd "absolutely not" to your upcoming party, now is the time to give us a call.

Fireworks, parties, and summer celebrations can be very stressful for our furry friends. If your pet has a history of party/guest/loud sound related anxiety, we can help! Many medications need to be prescribed in advance and veterinary clinics get busy this time of year.

Your pet doesn't have to panic their way through the season. Give us a call and help them enjoy a calmer, safer summer 🐾❀️

Sending zen vibes to your pets,
Northwood Veterinary Hospital

🐢🐱 Are you overfeeding your pet? It's easy to do when you're using an eyeball measurement or just filling up their bowl.

To ensure your furry friend is getting the right amount of food, calculate their daily caloric needs using a dog or cat calorie calculator.

πŸ—πŸ²πŸ– Divide that amount into two or three meals and be mindful of the treats you give them. Treats should take up no more than 10% of their daily calorie intake. Want to make sure you're feeding your pet the right amount?
