Through cooperation with our close-knit rescue partners in the south, Mary's Dogs Rescue & Adoption staff, volunteers, Board members, and adoptive families in New England effect a three-fold mission:

1. We actively support the efforts of our rescue partners who work to reduce the number of homeless dogs by rescuing dogs off the streets and from shelters, and who raise awareness of canine health i

ssues, and spay and neuter programs.

2. We ensure excellent supportive and medical care of rescued dogs throughout the adoption process and follow up with families after dogs are placed in their homes. Through every step of the rescue and adoption, connections are made between people, cultures, and dogs. Our community is extremely grateful for the supportive network that embraces us.

This sweet girl is settling in, stretching her legs, and making the most of her first New Hampshire weekend. We have a feeling she's going to steal a few hearts along the way.

🐾 Father's Day is almost here, and I hear some dads are looking for a best friend, a sidekick, or someone to share life's adventures with.

Or maybe someone to steal their recliner and supervise every burger on the grill. I happen to be very qualified for all of those jobs!

Now that Jasper's adorable snoot has your attention...

Mark your calendars! Our annual Run for the Dogs 5K is returning to the Deerfield Fairgrounds on Sunday, November 1, 2026!

Whether you're a runner, walker, or simply love supporting rescue dogs, we hope you'll join us for another fun-filled day benefiting the pups of Mary's Dogs.

We're still planning this year's event, but we wanted to give everyone plenty of time to get it on your calendar. More details, registration information, and exciting announcements will be coming soon!

As another transport day approaches, our hearts are full of gratitude.

Tomorrow, many deserving pups will begin the next chapter of their journey. Before they make their way north, we want to thank our incredible rescue partners: Amy’s Animal Rescue of Star City, The Arkansas Pet Savers, and Crossett Canine Rescue and foster families who have cared for and loved them. We are honored to help these dogs take the next step toward the forever families they deserve.

Tonight, sweet Cyrus is resting up for the adventures ahead. While some of his friends will soon be meeting their families, Cyrus is still searching for his best friend. We know his perfect match is out there, and we can't wait to help him find it.

Thank you to everyone who makes these journeys possible. Here's to safe travels, new beginnings, and all the love waiting just around the corner.

Sleep well, Cyrus. Tomorrow is another step toward your happy tail.

UPDATE: ADOPTED! ❤️

Petunia has only been in her foster home for 24 hours, and she's already making herself right at home. Here's what her foster dad had to say:

24-hour update on sweet Petunia:

No accidents in the house so far! She’s incredibly sweet. She is ALL puppy and definitely keeping me on my toes. She’s eating well, walking great on a leash, and has the absolute best puppy zoomies. She does like to follow the cats, but not in a malicious way. Her tail is wagging the whole time, and it seems more like she thinks every cat is a potential playmate! She met a few dogs this morning and loved every single one of them. She was happy, playful, and eager to make new friends, while holding her own.

She slept through the night in her crate, loves to cuddle, and can’t get enough belly rubs. She’s all legs, wonderfully gangly, and so much fun to watch as she explores.

It sounds like Petunia is settling in beautifully and making friends everywhere she goes. We can't wait to watch this sweet girl continue to grow and thrive in foster care!

Mary's Dogs must move by August 31, 2026. They have found a larger facility in Barrington which will allow them to:

• Increase life‑saving capacity.

This incredible non profit organization who has saved thousands of dogs through the years cannot make this happen without the help of our community. 🐾 Only two more days until I catch my ride north!

I'm Maurice, a people-loving, stuffy toy carrying, whole body wagging when I'm happy, lover boy with a smile that never seems to quit.

I can't wait to get to New Hampshire and start looking for my forever family.

One of our favorite things about updates from our foster families is watching dogs discover new experiences, build confidence, and learn that the world can be a pretty wonderful place.

Janis has been having some fun adventures, and her foster family recently shared this update:

Janis had a full day of fun in the sun and even spent some time cosplaying as a woodchuck! She met new people and animals and had a great time running around outside chasing frisbees, balls, and her foster brother.

She warmed right up to her foster's sister, and the two spent time sitting together in the shade when they weren't busy playing fetch. Janis also did wonderfully meeting an elderly family member. While her foster family was prepared for a little puppy enthusiasm, she ended up being incredibly polite and sweet during the introduction.

When a ring was accidentally dropped in the grass, Janis was more than happy to put her nose to work and help track it down!

At home, she has also been enjoying short walks down to the lake and getting used to the water.

Janis's days are filled with fun, adventure, and opportunities to continue building confidence. By the end of the day, this sweet girl is completely tuckered out and sleeps like a log all evening.

A huge thank you to Janis's foster family for helping her learn, grow, and experience all the wonderful things life has to offer. ❤️🐾
