☀️ Extreme Heat & Your Dogs ☀️

With temperatures rising, please remember that dogs can overheat much faster than we do.

🐾 Never leave your dog in a parked vehicle, even for a few minutes.
🐾 Make sure they always have access to fresh, cool water.
🐾 Avoid walks during the hottest parts of the day.
🐾 Hot pavement can burn paw pads—if it’s too hot for your hand, it’s too hot for their feet.
🐾 Watch for signs of heat exhaustion such as excessive panting, drooling, weakness, vomiting, or collapse.

Some breeds, seniors, puppies, overweight dogs, and flat-faced breeds are especially vulnerable to heat-related illnesses.

When in doubt, keep them cool, keep them hydrated, and keep them safe. 💗🫶🏼🐶
