1:30am: January 20th. (39 days since last seizure)

Blue was sleeping, in bed and had a seizure. The actual convulsions were less than 30 seconds. The post ictal phase was a little more like 10 - 15 minutes. He was given Midazolam (nasal) and a Gabapentin.

Normally he will cluster, so I fully expect another in the next 8 to 12 hours, but crossing fingers and toes that this episode is a one and done.

He was very hungry, and was given food and a pup ice cream. Peed and p**ped while walking on leash.

I am somewhat frustrated because the ONLY thing that was out of routine was the fact that Wal-mart Pharmacy didn't give me the specific Phenobarbital tablet that I had requested. The "big" tablet/pill must not be made like the smaller ones because every time he has more than one dose of this brand, he has a break through seizure. Needless to say, this will be fixed tomorrow and I will find those small tablets somewhere.

1:35am: December 12th.

Blue was getting settled, ready for bed. I was reading and heard what sounded like him scratching. Unfortunately, he was actually coming out of a seizure (paddling and drooling). The actual convulsions were less than 30 seconds (from the time I noticed the "scratching sounds" vs actually looking at him.) The post ictal phase was a little more like 10 - 15 minutes. He was given Midazolam (nasal) and a Gabapentin.

Normally he will cluster, so I fully expect another in the next 8 to 12 hours, but crossing fingers and toes that this episode is a one and done.

He was very hungry, did p**p a little during his episode, but was able to finish both (p**p/peeing) outside while walking on a leash.
