A HUGE thank you to all of our incredible fosters who opened their homes and hearts to these puppies. 🏡🐶 Because of you, these little lives are safe, loved, and one step closer to finding their forever homes. You truly helped save their lives. ❤️

We’re also incredibly grateful to the amazing RMPR staff for all the care, coordination, and hard work that goes into making these intake days possible. Your dedication makes all the difference! 🙏

Today was another successful intake, giving all of these puppies the next step toward the happy, healthy lives and forever families they deserve. 🐾✨ We couldn’t do it without our amazing RMPR family!

🐾❤️ IT TAKES A TEAM TO SAVE LIVES. ❤️🐾

Yesterday was a BIG day for Rocky Mountain Puppy Rescue, and we want to take a moment to recognize the incredible people who made it happen. 🐶

A huge THANK YOU to Emma, Tom, Al, Michele, Bonnie, Cheryl, Liz & Sharon for all of your hard work during intake! From coordinating, handling, caring for, and getting these puppies where they needed to go — every person played an important role. We are so grateful for each of you! ❤️

And to our amazing fosters — THANK YOU for stepping up when these puppies needed you most. 🥹🐾 You opened your homes and your hearts and helped give these puppies a safe place to land. You are the reason we can say YES when animals need us.

🚐❤️ Thank you to our Soccorro drivers for making the trip and for always being such an incredible team to work alongside! We appreciate the time, miles, teamwork, and dedication you continue to give to help these animals.

🧡 We also want to give another HUGE thank you to everyone who came out to our crafting volunteer event! The blankets made by our volunteers were donated to the Soccorro Animal Shelter, helping provide comfort to animals waiting for their next chapter. We are so thankful to every volunteer who showed up, crafted, donated their time, and helped make those blankets possible. 🐾🧶

Yesterday was a reminder that rescue truly takes a village. From our RMPR team, to our fosters, volunteers, drivers, shelter partners, and every person who steps up behind the scenes — every single effort matters.

Together, we are giving these puppies a chance at the lives they deserve. 🐶❤️

Meet DUNCAN, 4 month American Blue Heeler Mix at PetSmart, 10600 Melody Drive, Northglenn, CO, on Saturday, 8/29 from 12–3:30 PM!

Even though Duncan has only been with his foster a short time, every day brings something new, whether it’s a skill he’s learned or another piece of his personality shining through. He is a handsome, affectionate boy who loves people and will happily be your shadow. He loves belly rubs, pets, and may even climb into your lap if invited. ❤️

Duncan is a high-energy puppy who needs plenty of activity, enrichment, and continued training. His enthusiasm can sometimes get the best of him, including jumping up when excited, so a home without small children may be the best fit.

He’s making excellent progress with potty training and has been doing wonderfully when kept on a consistent potty schedule. Duncan also sleeps in his crate and has been sleeping through the night!

🐶 Dogs? YES! Duncan currently lives with two dogs and loves to play. He would likely thrive with a younger canine buddy who can match his energy.

🐱 Cats? With supervision. He lives with two cats and is curious and sometimes wants to chase the kitten to play, but responds well to redirection.

🧠 Duncan is already working on Sit, Off, Uh-uh & Leave It. How well he listens sometimes depends on just how excited he is, he is still a puppy, after all!
With consistency, patience, exercise, and lots of love, this sweet boy has so much potential.

Last night was such a wonderful reminder of what happens when our community comes together for the animals! 🐶🐱

A HUGE thank you to everyone who came out to help us make fleece blankets for shelter dogs and catnip toys for shelter cats. Your time, creativity, and willingness to get involved mean so much to us—and to the animals who will get to enjoy everything you made! 🧸🐾

We also want to give a special shoutout to the incredible people behind the scenes who helped make the night happen:

✨ Cheryl, Sharon, Michele — thank you for helping coordinate our events and bringing everything together!

🥤 Liz — thank you for providing the refreshments and keeping everyone fueled while we crafted!

And, of course, thank you to every volunteer who showed up last night. Whether you made one blanket, made a dozen toys, helped clean up, or simply came out to support us—you made a difference. ❤️

💜 HAPPY NATIONAL DOG DAY! 💜

Today we celebrate ALL the dogs — the goofy ones, the shy ones, the wild ones, the seniors, the puppies, the mixed breeds, the purebreds, and especially the rescue dogs still waiting for someone to choose them. ❤️

Over the years, Rocky Mountain Puppy Rescue has helped more than 16,000 dogs find their forever homes. 🏡🐶

There’s no way we could share them all, so today we highlighting some of the special dogs I’ve had the privilege of fostering, loving on, or simply getting to know while watching their journeys unfold. Some stayed for a little while, some left paw prints that will last forever, and every one of them mattered. 🐾

National Dog Day may only come once a year, but these incredible animals deserve to be celebrated, protected, loved, and given a chance every single day.

🏡Here’s to the dogs who found their families.
❤️ The ones still waiting.
🐾 The fosters who gave them a safe place to land.
🏡 And every person who decided to adopt, foster, volunteer, or simply love a rescue dog.

Today we celebrate them. Tomorrow we keep showing up for them. 🐶❤️
