6. Can I visit ATKHER? Yes, you are allowed to visit ATKHER by appointment only. This is a privately owned property and I ask you respect the owners of the land. You may schedule an appointment by emailing me at [email protected]
7. Does ATKHER accept volunteers? Yes, we accept volunteers to do a variety of chores from, cleaning, feeding, grooming, riding, wound management, and etc. Horse experience is not necessary, and we will train and educate those on equine management. We will also allow local schools to visit our program.
8. How do I adopt an equine from ATKHER? ATKHER requires a signed adoption application and contract. We require a Veterinarian, farrier, and three personal references. We contact all references, and will do a home visit. We ask you to visit the farm to meet your potential equine partner. We will assess to find the most appropriate home and make lessons available for those and their potential new family member. Please e-mail to request a copy of the adoption form and contract. 9. How can I foster for ATKHER? ATKHER accepts foster homes with a signed Foster care agreement. We require a Veterinarian and Farrier reference. We also do a site visit to ensure proper facilities for our equines in our care.
