Hello! We adopted Professor back in 2016 from the Gilligan’s Island crew! I can’t believe how fast time goes, but he’s now 9 years old!
He’s as spunky as ever, and loves chasing balls and his fishing pole, sitting in the sunshine on his perch, morning cuddles in the kitchen, and snuggling between us at night. He is such a blessing to us each and every day.

Happy birthday to the Gilligan’s Island crew!

Family update sent to us from one of our fosters ... thx Michelle Cook for sharing!
The family adopted Willow 3 years ago yesterday!!! They were excited to share with me how well she’s doing. Awesome! 🥳❤️😻
Another plus in dealing with FFF...we're like family and most fosters try to stay in contact with the adopting families for updates.
Willow is beautiful and living her best life!

This is one cat that will not disappoint! Scrappy was rescued from the streets of Canton – thank goodness!!
Look at that face in the pictures - Scrappy's big, bright eyes, ear tufts and those whiskers!
As with any new environment, he will take time to adjust but he yearns for his forever home. He's a loving 2 yr old male. He loves ear scratches and belly rubs. It would be best for him to be an only pet or housed with one adult cat. Mr. Scrappy is great with kids and super, super affectionate. A quiet boy and very calm and would prefer a calm home environment.

American writer Ernest Hemingway was undoubtedly one of the most iconic cat lovers in the literary world, alongside Mark Twain, who took his love for cats so far that he refused to associate with people who didn’t like them and even rented cats when he couldn’t travel with his own.

Many of you are probably familiar with Hemingway’s house in Key West, Florida, home to about 60 cats. Hemingway’s first polydactyl cat, named Snow, was a gift from a captain and marked the beginning of his deep bond with these animals.

Many of the cats living at the Hemingway House today are descendants of Snow, and all are lovingly cared for by the staff. It’s a wonderful place for both literature lovers and cat enthusiasts. A tradition at the Hemingway House is that all the cats, after Snow, are named after famous characters, with Mark Twain being one of them, as he was a literary influence on Hemingway.
