Meet Chowder and Crab Cake!! This pair of bonded, 8 year old Persians are looking for their new home together. Chowder and Crab Cake were surrendered by their previous owner as they could no longer care for them. These girls are not happy in the shelter and are looking for a home together call their own.

Both girls are very friendly and personable. Chowder loves to meow to ensure that she is the center of attention all the time, while Crab Cake is quieter and more laid back. Both girls love attention and will sit in your lap for hours. These girls are cat friendly and good with cat savvy dogs.

Please share!! Animal control is busting at the seams withh cats!!

Meet Poppy!! Poppy is a 3-5 year old spayed female domestic long haired cat available for adoption. Poppy is tolerant of well behaved and respectful dogs, and mostly ignores other cats. Poppy’s ideal day includes extensive napping and very brief zoomies with her most favorite catnip mouse.

Poppy is a big girl who loves her snacks. If it was up to Poppy, she would snack all day. Unfortunately, due to her luscious curves, Poppy absolutely cannot be free fed and her new family will need to moderate her intake of treats. In addition, due to her extra large size, Poppy does require some help with grooming.

Poppy’s biggest complaint is getting into a cat carrier - once inside she is fine, but this girl does not like to be contained.

Thank you so much to everyone for sharing this post and helping Cuppy find a home. There will be more cats coming in the next few days also looking for new homes.

Meet Cupcake!! Cuppy is a 18 month old female spayed cat looking for her new home. Cuppy did come through our rescue as a kitten and was then adopted. Cuppy is basically a permanent kitten, being very small and petite in size Unfortunately, Cuppy’s owner passed away unexpectedly and she is not doing well living with family members. Cuppy is a very shy and nervous cat, but once she is comfortable with you, she is your best friend. Cuppy thrives in an environment with other cats, and is very tolerant of dogs.

Cuppy would do best in a quiet household who is willing to give her the time to settle. Cuppy will not do well in a loud household or one with young children. If you are looking for a cat who will jump in your lap the minute you bring her home, this is not your girl. Cuppy is very timid, nervous and requires time to learn you will be her best friend.

Cuppy just had her world turned upside down and really needs a home that will allow her the time to adjust. If you have the space in your home and in your heart, please reach out so we can try to find Cuppy her forever home.

Meet the Muffin girls. Meet Cranberry and Blueberry muffin. These two kittens were brought into animal control around the same time and have become very strongly bonded while there. They are looking to be adopted together if possible. Blueberry is about 12 weeks old. She is very outgoing and like your typical kitten - very curious and loves attention. Cranberry is a little more timid and relies on Blueberry for her confidence. Cranberry is about 16 weeks old. Cranberry can be a little nervous when first being picked up, but then loves to be held and will purr like crazy. Both of these girls have been at animal control for about 6 weeks now and would love a family of their own for Christmas. Please contact Windham Animal Control to meet and adopt them (860)465-3087.
