Are you bored? Looking for ways to fill your evening? Why not foster an adult cat who needs her butt washed! An activity the whole family can enjoy!

Lucy is trying hard to loose weight so she can eventually wash her own butt, but we all know that is not an easy task. We'd love to get her out of the shelter and into a home while we get her weight and rear end hygiene under control and she can be adopted.

Lucy is overall a lovely cat but will need a semi experienced and confident cat handler as you can imagine the butt washing doesn't go over too well with a cat. Our cat expert Bonnie will gladly give you a lesson!

Come on, help a big ol lady out! We may all need a little extra help some day, so put in your good karma now!

We received a wonderful adoption update on Paper Weight, now Otto! 🥰

Here is the wonderful update from Otto’s owner:

In June I decided it was time to fine a new feline companion after being without a cat for six months. The ideal cat find would be a young male, and it just so happened that Scituate Animal Shelter had some kitties that fit the bill. The first one I picked up was a tiger named ‘Paper Weight.’ He was an affectionate little guy who won me over immediately, and came home with me that day. In the past month ‘Otto,’ as he’s now known, had settled in, won over everyone who has met him, and brought joy & s***k to the house!

Catgirl is not your average little kitten, she's kind of like a supervillain kitten.

Still a baby at just under 4-months-old, this itty bitty baddie needs more TLC. She has been in a foster home and when you catch her, she doesn't mind it, but needs more squishing to make her friendly.

While Catgirl is not enthused with humans, she does love other cats! Maybe you don't mind a friend for your cat who may never love you as much? Catgirl is your lady! But, we hope with time and lovings, she will come around and humans will no longer be her cryptonight.

We can use our super powers to sense she will be ok! With some determination, extra TLC and maybe a friendly feline to show her the way, we hope to see an adoption update in a year showing us all the progress she made!

Wonderful adoption update!

"We’ve had Cooper for half a year today! He has finally shown his true loving self. He loves to go for walks and hang out on the couch. He also loves car rides in his pet car seat. His people include Keith and me and also my brother and grandson. He has been generous with his love! We are so lucky to have found him!"

Today is National Ice Cream Day! 🍦

Not just humans can enjoy ice cream, make sure your furry friend gets in on the action and beat the heat with some dog safe ice cream! You can even make dog safe ice cream at home using simple ingredients! Use plain yogurt, peanut butter (without xylitol!), and safe to eat fruit like bananas or blueberries. Just blend those ingredients, freeze, and let your furry friend enjoy!

These two waited months to find a home, and we scratched our heads as to why. Well, it was worth the wait! They have a dog friend and two little kids who will love and adore them.
