Dear clients,

We want to inform you of an important update to how we handle prescription requests at North Reading Veterinary Clinic. Our doctors and staff will no longer communicate directly with third-party pharmacies outside our trusted partners. We will continue to work closely with Covetrus Online Pharmacy – (our online pharmacy partner, Vets First Choice) Wedgewood Compounding Pharmacy and IVG Pharmacy.

By using our online pharmacy, everything comes directly from our trusted veterinary suppliers. We know your pet is getting exactly what was prescribed. From third-party pharmacies, the supplier is often unknown. We are trying to decrease the risk of errors or delays. It can also save clients time because we can approve pets’ medications right away, avoiding back-and-forth communication with the third-party pharmacies.

If you prefer to use a different pharmacy, we will be happy to provide you with a written prescription to be picked up in person at our clinic. We will no longer be calling in, mailing, or faxing prescriptions.

We are making this change to ensure accuracy, patient safety, and efficiency in providing your pet’s medication. Our team has full confidence in our partner pharmacies' quality control, reliability, and commitment to veterinary standards.

Our online pharmacy offers thousands of prescriptions and non-prescription products, employs licensed veterinary pharmacists, and ships directly to clients.
