Many of you know that our sister, Jordyn, has been battling complex medical conditions for years, including Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome (EDS), Dopa-Responsive Dystonia, dysautonomia, chronic pain, and Miserable Malalignment Syndrome. Recently, specialists have also raised concerns about the beginning stages of Juvenile Idiopathic Arthritis (JIA), adding yet another layer to an already complex medical journey.
Over the years, we have traveled extensively throughout Florida seeking answers. Despite seeing numerous specialists, undergoing imaging, testing, and therapies, we still have many unanswered questions and continue searching for treatments that can improve her quality of life and help preserve her mobility and independence.
This August, Jordyn has the opportunity to travel from Florida to Rhode Island to be evaluated by specialists with extensive experience treating complex connective tissue disorders, hypermobility syndromes, and related neurological and musculoskeletal conditions.
We are hopeful that this appointment will provide new insight, treatment recommendations, and a path forward that we have not yet been able to find closer to home.
The trip requires specialist fees, airfare, ground transportation, and other travel-related expenses.
Asking for help is not easy, but many friends, family members, and supporters have followed Jordyn's journey and asked how they can help. If you feel led to donate, every contribution, no matter the amount, will go directly toward helping us access this specialized medical care and the travel required to reach it.
If you are unable to donate, sharing this fundraiser and keeping Jordyn in your thoughts and prayers means just as much to our family.
Jordyn is one of the strongest girls we know. Despite the pain, uncertainty, and challenges she faces daily, she continues to create, dream, and find ways to bring laughter to others. We remain hopeful that this trip will bring us one step closer to answers and a better quality of life for her.
Thank you for supporting Jordyn and helping us continue the search for the care she deserves.
With gratitude,
