Keith Walker, a 53 year old homeless man, became a hero when he rescued 10 cats and six dogs from a fire at the W-Underdogs animal shelter in Atlanta. On December 18, while arriving to pick up his own pit bull, Bravo, which stays overnight at the shelter, Walker saw flames in the shelter’s kitchen. Despite the danger and heavy smoke, he entered the building and guided all the animals to safety before first responders arrived. The fire was later determined to be electrical in origin.

The shelter’s founder, Gracie Hamlin, called Walker a “guardian angel,” saying she was still in disbelief over how fast fires can spread and how courageous Walker’s actions were. The fire rendered the original shelter building unsafe, but the animals were able to move into the organization’s new facility and are being cared for. In the wake of the rescue, a GoFundMe campaign was launched for Walker, which exceeded its goal, and another was started to help W-Underdogs rebuild and continue their work.

Wow! I guess I really need to post on our page a lot more on our page. I’m pretty good about posting in the group, but I haven’t been very vigilant with this page. Now that I’m not dealing with the whole store, I will have more time for Dog Crazy Crew. I plan to make some special Valentines pet collar necklaces. I will be posting pictures as I get them done. I’m more used to a group than I am a page, so you will have to bear with me as I get used to this. I think I can create albums here like I did for the store. The other new things which aren’t in yet, but I will share a sneak peek of, is charms which keep dust from getting in your phone’s charging port. Check out how adorable these dog ones are. I have lots more coming.

About Us

My name is Carol and my sister is Christy. We have always been dog crazy. It all started with a dog named Willie when we were children. He was the cutest little black poodle. He was our best friend. His unconditional love taught us so much and made us better people. Willie lived to be 16 years old. Losing him was one of the worst pains that we had ever felt, but we knew we couldn’t live without the love of another dog. We have both always had dogs and learned so much from each one of them. I currently have 3 pugs, and Christy has a pug and an English bulldog.

We have volunteered in shelters and fostered dogs (I have 2 foster failures now.). We do a lot of research to find the best ways to take care of our best friends. As we have created new products for our own dogs, family, friends and neighbors have asked us to make things for their dogs, as well. Eventually we decided to make a business out of it. Our mission is to help others have the best life with their best friends. We would like to provide some education and offer products that are safe and healthy for dogs. It is also very important to us to give back to the dog community, so we have created two give back programs. For every 10 collars that we sell, we will give a collar to a shelter dog. We also give pillows to foster dogs to help with transferring to their forever homes. With your help, I believe we can create a better life for our best friends!
