Chance has come a long way! When his owners reached out to me, they (like many others), had a sense of defeat in their tone. This was a Hail Mary to reach out to a trainer and hope that they could see a change in Chance. When I met them for our assessment, he couldn’t sit still (even with no dogs around!). Trying to talk was very difficult for her because Chance had no sense of respect and impulse control. Then when a dog entered the area… he looooost it. He couldn’t stop being obsessed with it, even after the dog left! If he had gotten off the leash, he 10000% would’ve attacked that dog.

His owner had told me that it was very emotional to walk him because of his strength and determination to be aggressive. Sound familiar? We often get clients that have lived in this misery for so long that the idea of not having to do so anymore sounds too good to be true.

We show you what your dog is capable of, and Chance isn’t even done yet! But it comes with a catch… You HAVE TO CHANGE YOUR LIFE TOO! The life and environment you gave your dog is a large part of why your dog acts this way. For Chance to succeed long-term, his owners will need to upkeep the training the way we teach them. That is the most important part of our job. It doesn’t matter what we can accomplish with your dog, what matters is what you are able to do which is why we only work with people that are determined and ready to make that change no matter how uncomfortable it is.

We tell all of our clients the same thing before we work with them: WE DO NOT GUARANTEE THE TRAINING WILL STICK IF YOU DON’T STAY CONSISTENT!!

Which is why we do multiple appointments and encourage continued communication so we can help you up keep the training. We want you to succeed, and we prioritize helping you to do so.

One of our favorite things about Kokonuts owners is that they never tried to make excuses! They gave us what they thought might be the reason he was aggressive, was receptive of our explanation, and carried the energy of “I won’t tolerate this anymore”. You won’t have lasting results if you still view your dog as a “fur baby”, “my child” or any of these other names we see people that want to blame everything but their own actions or their dog for its behavior. Love your dog enough to say “I don’t tolerate this anymore”.

We can help to change your dog’s behavior, show you what your dog’s truly capable of, and make it into the lifelong companion you want. But you have to make that change too.

Training allows us to do more with our dogs and feel more confident in their behavior.
-Butters (the reddish pit mix), has a bite history and is a flight risk. Now he can be around other dogs and people, and his focus is on his handler with a solid recall. He clearly loves playing fetch.
-Blue (the mini Aussie / bernedoodle mix), used to bark non stop, rush every dog he saw cause he loves dogs, and had terrible recall.
-Graci (the frenchie), was kicked out of doggy day care because she attacked dogs. She and Butters went to the stream together with zero issues because we’ve corrected the unwanted behavior, and rewarded the wanted.
-Koa and Aloha (the white sheepadoodle and the golden retriever), are our board and train graduates who are boarding with us. Their owners have up kept their training, which allows them to have these experiences with us when they stay with us.

We train for real world manners. Our goal is a dog that you can trust and continue to grow your relationship with to be that lifelong companion. This is the fun part of the training, but it is only achievable through structure and being able to put your foot down and say “I don’t tolerate these problematic behaviors anymore”. We teach your dogs and lay that foundation. We train you to upkeep it and continue to build on it.

When I first walked this dog, she couldn’t pass another dog behind a fence without exploding. Barking, lunging, completely locked onto the distraction.

Fast forward to today: the same fence, the same trigger—and she makes a different choice.

Through clear communication with the e-collar and teaching a structured heel, we showed her that she doesn’t need to handle every situation herself. Instead of fixating on the other dog, she learned to focus on her handler.

The goal isn’t to suppress behavior. The goal is to change the dog’s state of mind from reactive and emotional to calm, neutral, and engaged.

If your dog loses their mind every time they see another dog, don’t accept that as “just how they are.”
