It’s time to move from talking about it only to creating real change with solutions on how to thrive as veterinary professionals- from pre-vet all the way to after graduation!
❤️
I hope to see you at the conference this June in New Orleans, LA!

✨ We’re back in Orlando! ✨
Grateful for the support as we step into an exciting 2026.

I’ll be at VMX Veterinary Meeting & Expo January 17–21 at the Orange County Convention Center. Join me January 20 from 1–2 PM in the Expo Hall, where I’ll be speaking alongside fellow Today’s Veterinary Practice Editorial Advisory Board members.

🎤 Session: Does the research really say that?
Learn practical, real-world ways to read and evaluate scientific studies—cutting through the noise to make evidence-based decisions you can trust.

💜 We’ll also be sharing exciting news about CARES, launching Spring 2026. If you’d like to learn more or are interested in donating, find me at VMX or send me a DM.

2025 had its challenges, but thank you for standing with me. Here’s to new beginnings, meaningful conversations, and impactful work ahead in 2026—see you in Orlando!

Only time will tell, let your heart lead you, be genuine and stay true to yourself!
💜
As I’m coming into the 10th year as a veterinarian I’ve learned that giving back to yourself is just as important as giving your all to your profession!
💜
I’ve had to learn this, and balancing my bodybuilding life with being a mom, a speaker and veterinarian!! I’ve finally unlocked the ultimate cheat code to PEACE and happiness!! BE YOURSELF- DO what you love, do all the things! It’s possible!!

This , we honor the legacy of Tuskegee University—an institution built on excellence, resilience, and empowerment. As the first historically Black university, Tuskegee has shaped generations of leaders, from Booker T. Washington’s vision to groundbreaking advancements in science, agriculture, and the arts. It stands as a testament to the transformative power of HBCUs and their lasting impact on education and beyond.

Dr. Donita, a proud Tuskegee graduate, carries forward this legacy in her veterinary practice, providing compassionate, high-quality care to pets and their families. Her journey is a reflection of Tuskegee’s enduring mission to inspire, uplift, and lead. Here’s to celebrating the rich history, remarkable contributions, and a bright future ahead! ✊🏾🐾

This was quick and busy! But it reignited my connection again to my veterinary community!
💜
This year marks 10 years I will have graduated from - and in this time I have learned so much! I’ve grown so much as a veterinary professional, I’ve given so much to my veterinary community, and the biggest thing is that I’ve given back to myself!
💜
I know I’ve been a bit more quiet than usual because life has created numerous challenges and road blocks that I’ve had to navigate through the last few years!
💜
But I’ve adopted the word PIVOT - pivoting for my mental health, pivoting for my family, pivoting to survive, and pivoting for my businesses survival!
💜
A lot of people see the pictures, and videos looking from the outside looking in; but most don’t see the struggles of being a black woman owned business in the world we currently live in!
💜
I’ve learned to control the controllables, teach where I can teach, and continue to give back where I can!
💜
If you are struggling with the next move, or how to navigate life - DONT give up! Keep being a light, keep being a testimony, and keep being a role model for those coming after you!
💜
We can have it all, we can live the lives we want to live and be happy! It is 100% possible to do it all!!
💜
Let’s stay positive and make 2025 the best year ever!!
💜
