Our pups and kitties had their own little Thanksgiving feast today! 🧡🥧 Our Enrichment team baked up some special “pies” just for them, and let’s just say… they were a HIT. Happy Thanksgiving from our furry little food critics!

Slinky arrived at our doors last week after being struck by a car, brought in by a caring community member who couldn’t bear to leave him in pain. Our medical team acted fast and discovered his leg was severely fractured, requiring emergency surgery. He was rushed to our partners at VCA Hollywood Animal Hospital, where surgeons placed a bone plate and pins to stabilize his limb and save his leg.

It’s clear Slinky belonged to someone at some point, but no one has come forward to claim him. For now, he’s resting safely with us, soaking up love while he begins the long road to recovery. He won’t be available for adoption for a while as he heals, but we’re committed to giving him every chance at a full, pain-free life.

His surgery and intensive care were urgent, lifesaving, and came with significant, unexpected medical costs, the kind no shelter can plan for but will always step up to handle. If you’re able, please consider donating to Slinky’s medical fund. Your support helps lift this sudden financial burden and directly fuels his healing, helping him stand, walk, and one day run again.

Thanks to donations, we were able to give Oracle her lifesaving eye surgeries, and now she’s doing fantastic and is almost ready to find her forever home. And because of generous support like yours, Justin received the treatment he needed for his skin and fur. Today, he looks and feels like a completely different dog.
