We didn't get very many pictures from today but we took a small group down to Miami county for their fair open show. It was long and hot, the day didn't go as planned for some but nonetheless everyone did their best and walked away with things to work on.

That's a wrap on the 2025 union county fair!

This week was full of ups and downs, but above all it was full of happy kids and happy horses. These kids have all worked so hard to get to where they are today. We could not be more proud of how well they all did this week, even if it wasn't reflected with a ribbon. They had fun, spent a lot of time with their horses, and above all they helped one another and cheered each other on. Couldn't have asked for a better week ☺️

Finally, we want to give a special shoutout to our fearless leader Casey, who has given up multiple nights with her own kids to be here with the 4H kids. Not to mention all of the behind the scenes work that goes into getting these kids and horses ready for this week. She spent this week running shows, standing at the ring for 10+ hours a day, running back and forgh to the barn to make sure everyone was where they needed to be, helping get horses ready, making sure kids knew their patterns and the list goes on. Without her, none of this would be possible. We might be biased, but we truly were blessed with the best!

All of the hoses are thrilled to be back home spending time outside to decompress. The fair horses will be off for the next two days to recover from their week, and we will be back to our regularly scheduled lessons on Monday.

Next on our list is the Richwood Independent Fair. Haul in is on August 27th and we start showing on the 29th 🤩

First official day of the fair started with opening ceremonies and the English show. There were some great rides, some not so great rides, but everyone learned while they were out there. We have a quiet day today with just a few in the western show, and things will pick back up on Tuesday for the ranch show 🤠

It's been a very short time since our horse community was rocked by the passing of Sarah Crockett. Anyone who knew Sarah knew how deeply she loved Rose and what a great team they were. We have had the privilege of adding Rose to our lesson program this year and Sarah always loved our posts about her at shows and camps. Today Rose and her rider Emilia had their English show at the fair and they sure did 🫶🏻

A little late but man have we been busy!

Our last day of our half day big kid camp last week consisted of making a horse jump, lots of games, making horse cookies, and our favorite the parent show!

These kids were so fun and such quick learners they made the week go by so fast keeping us onto the next adventure!

Days 3&4!

Yesterday we enjoyed a nice long trail ride and some horsie related games! Their chore for the day was scrubbing water buckets.

Today we gave a group of little girls glitter horses and a bucket of crafts and let them go to town. Big Mama and Coco were quite the unicorn royalties. We painted shirts and did a day of ba****ck riding and wow do these kids have a good seat!
