Forest School Summer Sampler Day 6 was extra exciting... with a morning rainstorm and threat of lightning! Less pictures as we were preoccupied with the weather, but the kids all did great despite the storm!
We wrote madlibs poetry with our squads, bound our poetry pages and made feather quills. Today's poem was "Hope is the Thing with Feathers" by Emily Dickinson.
We had a special treat today, as the burn ban was lifted yesterday, and got to do an afternoon lesson on fire safety and practice sparks with flint and steel! Perfect after a morning of rain 🤣
This Sampler was super exciting, as we got to meet new families, new teachers, and use our new Forest Classroom space! This makes me so excited for next year!
Stay tuned for some updates on the Forest School plans, and those that participated in this Sampler should keep an eye on email for the early access registration... next week!
Next up, Summer Workshops!
See you In the Forest!
