Yes, he loves HIS people, he’s skittish at first of new people but a lovebug once he’s comfortable. 👧 Children? He’s not a fan of young children. He wants your lap all to himself & would prefer a quiet home so older kids or none at all would be best. 🐕 Dogs? Yes 🐱 Cats? Unknown but probably fine as long as they don’t steal his lap space. 🐄 Other animals? Unknown but probably fine. 💩 House trained? Yes 🌐 Crate trained? Yes ⚡ Energy level: low 🚗 Travel well? Not particularly. He’s not a fan of car rides & will whine but he’s getting better. But the funny thing is, he jumps right in when I open the car door. 🧸 Favorite toy/activity: napping & cuddling in my lap 🚶‍♀️ Leash trained? He does pretty well. Gets excited when you put the leash on him. Did a whole 3 mile hike without getting tired but pulled towards all the new smells. 🥅 Fence needed? Preferred but not required. Copper came to us as an owner surrender after his beloved dad developed dementia and had to move into a care facility. After 11 years in one home, you might expect a tough transition—but Copper has adjusted to his new life with surprising ease and so much grace. This sweet senior boy has a simple wish: to be close to his person. His absolute favorite thing is snuggling up with you under a cozy blanket, happily snoozing the day away on the couch. If you’re a homebody looking for the ultimate cuddle companion, Copper is ready to fill that role perfectly. Since joining us at the end of January, Copper hasn’t shown much interest in toys—aside from the occasional curious sniff—and he’s only chewed on a bone once. While he’ll sometimes make a rare attempt to play with our labs, he much prefers the quiet life. What he does love? Food and treats! 🍖 Even at 11 years old, Copper is in great health and has so much love left to give. He’s loyal, gentle, and happiest simply being by your side. If you’re looking for a devoted, loving snuggle bug to share your days (and your couch), Copper might just be your perfect match. 🐾
