I AM GOING TO STAY THIS SO THAT EVERYONE IN THE BACK CAN HEAR IT!

I do not care what you do with your dog. You can dress it up in a tutu, you can hog hunt with it, you can go dock diving, you can do search and rescue, you can do UKC, you can do cows, you can do scent trailing, and you can paint the dog’s toe nails PINK.

I care about quality of home. I DO NOT WANT TO SEE A DOG BEING BRED OVER AND OVER AND OVER AGAIN. I don’t want a dog that has done nothing in their lives to be just a brood gyp. THEY MUST PROVE THAT THEY ARE WORTHY OF BEING BRED!

There are people breeding 2-10 litters a YEAR. A YEAR! I would not call that a successful breeding program. THAT IS BREEDING FOR MONEY! If you are having to breed that many times to get a successful pup, then your breeding program needs to be changed.

IF YOU ARE BREEDING FOR WORK and claiming such titles with your dog, YOU BETTER PROVE IT! Your dog should have titles, wins, or be able to show such. A 30 second clip isn’t going to cut it. That is FAKE.

Show your dog, work your dog, color your dog, but please, for the love of the animals STOP BREEDING just to breed.

You may ask, Lauren, why you so unhinged. Well folks I am SUPER honored that so many people have reached out about our pups. Really, it is super flattering. But when the following questions are the first thing that comes to my message box;

“How much?”
“Can I see the females?”
“Location?”

All this tells me is you really do not care about the pedigree, the parents, or the arduous work that has gone in to making this a desirable cross. It does not give warm fuzzy feelings. There are so so so many red flags on people inquiring about puppies. And I absolutely hate it. I want to see others succeed and make their own program, but it needs to be done right. Right by the dog, right by the pedigree and right by the people who have worked so hard to make their dogs desirable.

Today, we took a day trip to Michigan to knock some rust off of Maze and get ready for more showing as she matures. Well, pending UKC approval, Mazie is now a UKC conformation champion in two weekends at 9 months old! She’s maturing so nicely now, I can’t wait to see how she continues to mature into adulthood.

Thank you to Amanda Tikkanen for bringing out Blaze to fill out a class! Your girls are beautiful, and I’m honored to show with you and your girls. Thank you Deborah Claire (Cimerron) for this outstanding girl. She’s been a joy to raise and I’m so excited for her future! And thank you to Hannah Chipps for always being down for the adventure and taking the videos and pictures!

Our plan is continue showing in conformation as our schedule allows, as well as starting to introduce her to working events in the near future!

Happy birthday to Riptide!! 20Mile’s Anaklusmos turned two years old today. I can’t believe how fast time has gone by since I helped this boy into the world.

This boy has already lived such an enriched life in the past two years. He’s lived in 3 states (PA with me and both KY and NC with his co-owner Isabella,) stayed in Alabama with Warrior River Kennels to get started with working dog life (thank you Kayla!) worked the tree, got introduced to B-Bay, then in NC played in water race, got to try out tracking, has had a ton of fun in barn hunt and has graced the conformation ring. He’s gotten to swim in many lakes and rivers, hiked and explored many different areas and made a ton of both human and dog friends. He gets to help out with barn chores and takes his horse guardian role very seriously (much to Isa and I’s humor.)

He’s gotten a best puppy in show, a reserve best puppy in show, and a class win in his limited showing. Riptide has earned his RATI, RATN and RATO in barn hunt as well his TKN! This year we hope to earn his conformation CH, continue with barn hunt, possibly dock dive, attend working events and more. It’s been a pleasure to watch him develop and mature with Isabella. He’s becoming such a well rounded dog.

Today he got to take a trip into the mountains with Isa to play in the snow, then swam in the lake when they got back. Talk about best of both worlds 😂 Rip is going to come visit for a few months this year to get his health testing done and possibly hit the PA/OH/MI conformation circuit!

Thank you Isa for loving this boy as much as I do! I truly believe he is a special boy and I am so happy to see him getting to enjoy being a dog in NC. Happy birthday Rippers!

This past weekend we loaded up Mazikeen and took her to her first show. It was a 3 day show, and our goal was just to learn the conformation game and have fun in the ring. Maze was happy to play this new game and impressed everyone with her behavior in a new to her environment. Every day she stood well for the judges, not even a flinch when one of the judges checked her bite himself. She truly acted like the judges were only there to see her 😂

On Sunday, Mazikeen was awarded both a Group 2 and a Group 4! She is now only 1 competition win away from her CH after only 1 weekend of showing at 6 months and 1 week old. I am so proud of this puppy and can't wait to see how she matures in and out of the ring.

I love seeing my co-owner getting to handle such a cool dog doing what he loves! Riptide and his co-owner Isabella hauled down to Peachtree, NC to attend a coonhound event.

Riptide got to tree, work the roll cage and try out water race today. He jumped right into working and never lost focus on the treeing or the roll cage. He then got to try water race and had a blast with great focus once he understood the game.

I love seeing my bred bys/co-owns getting to thrive at working events and loving their job. He is going to be a hell of a dog, especially as he gains experience. Thank you for taking him, Isa, and trying new things with him!

Saturday was a special, bittersweet day.

Sunday marked 1 year since Sammy's last show, and 6 months ago I was dreaming about him going into the veteran ring this weekend. The universe had different plans for us and Saturday Mazikeen stepped into the conformation ring for the first time.

Maze wore Sammy's show collar and lead, with the 24 inch collar being adorably too big on her. This was her first time on a show lead, second time on a slip style lead/collar and first time in a show environment- and she truly did Sammy proud.

Mazikeen stepped into that ring like she's showed 100 times before. She was confident, patient and so happy to play the conformation game. We were in the ring for over 20 minutes due to an anxious puppy throwing up, surrounded by a couple puppies having a hard time and she was still unflappable. It felt like having Sammy at the end of my lead again.

She welcomed the judge's exam, gaited like a pro - wagging her tail the whole time like it was the best thing she's ever done. She even did Sammy's signature lounge in the ring while we waited for the class to resume.

Though Sammy should have been here with us, its an honor to have this sweet, confident girl as a potential continuation of my program. From day one I've felt like Mazikeen is going to go far, and step by step she's been helping me heal. She's got big paws to fill, but she's growing so fast💚

Pictured below is Mazikeen from Saturday (9/13/25) and Sammy's first show at CCKC on 9/16/2023 where he pulled a Group 1.

Ears that make poor choices (like trying to rose in the oddest ways) get taped. Maze handled it very well for her first time getting taped, hopefully that trend continues!

Introducing Cimerron’s Retribution for Sam “Mazikeen” by Warrior River’s Rougaroux and out of Winged’s TophBeifong. I’ve been following the planning of this litter for nearly a year, and man did Rougar and Toph give me what I ordered. Sweet, friendly, and promising from fantastic parents who’ve worked themselves, as well as the sire being a proven working producer (this is the dam’s first litter). I’m very excited to start our adventures together, I’ve got big plans for us.

Maze’s registered name is based on the litter theme, comeback, and as an homage for Sammy, who recently passed. I knew whatever puppy was picked for me would be named Cimerron’s Retribution, but after Sam passed from lyme and the complications from old injuries inflicted upon him by people who abused him and lied about it, the breeder reached out and asked if I wanted to add the last two words to her name. I have so many goals for Mazikeen and I as a team, so I think her name is a good way to state our intentions and honor the best boy who left us too soon.

Mazikeen has some big shoes to fill, but I know she will do all that and more!

Huge thank you to my mentor and co owner, Cimerron Kennels, for raising this sweet girl and picking me to be her owner, I can’t thank you enough!
