This is Alvin! He is a sweet guy and requires your lap when you sit down. Sorry, but this is non-negotiable. He a 9 yo chihuahua, 7 lbs, UTD on vaccines, neutered and he had a dental so he’s missing some teeth. As you can see from the photo he is hairless on his dark patches. Not so fun fact: All of the animals in our care come from abandonment, neglect or abuse situations. Believe it or not, we don't get a catalog every month and then select who we're going to take in. We take the animals in because some other human has failed them.

This is why many of our animals, and specifically dogs, have "special needs." They've been abused or unsocialized, left behind, or starved - so they don't understand how to "dog." Many of them need extra time to decompress. It's not as simple as a 3/3/3 for some. But every single one of them is worth a redemption story.

Hank is one of our very perfect boys. He came to us after living outside on an overgrown lawn, where he was being starved. He was amongst the garbage because they treated him like garbage - when in fact, his "humans" were the garbage and they didn't deserve him.

Hank is available now, and he is very sweet, calm, potty trained, smart, loves car rides, and can be tested with other animals for an approved adopter. We want to get him out of this too small cage (we don't have anything larger for him right now bc we are too full) and get him into a home and on a couch ASAP.

The cuteness on Abby on the right and her son Doo on the left is just too much! These two do really love each other and they love to play and hop. I think they really would love staying together. They even wag their tails in unison. Both are very young. If Abby is his mother then she must have given birth before she was a year old as her teeth are perfectly white. We were able to get Doo neutered already so he is ok to stay with her. She will be spayed first week in January.
