Providing expert veterinary care with compassion. From routine check-ups to urgent care, we’re here for all your pet’s needs.

Our dedicated team is committed to keeping your pets healthy and happy through high-quality services and personalized treatments. Dr. Al Kemplin and our team are committed to bringing you and your pets better health by practicing the science of Veterinary Medicine. North Branch Veterinary Hospital was founded in 1973. Dr Al Kemplin took the hospital over in the summer of 1995. Since then our staff has been performing veterinary medicine and compassionate animal care in the North Branch area. North Branch Veterinary Hospital is a full-service animal hospital whose mission is to provide the highest standard of quality and compassion in veterinary care for our patients, informative and supportive service for our clients, while maintaining a superior working environment for our employees. North Branch Veterinary Hospital offers the North Branch animal community advanced laparoscopic and laser procedures, in addition to standard medical, surgical, and dental veterinary care. Because we have an in-house pharmacy, lab, radiology facilities, and Intensive Care Unit, our facility enables you to make one stop for your pet's medical care. We are open for appointments during normal business hours, evenings, and Saturdays. We are available for emergencies and also work closely with a 24-hour emergency clinic.

Happy to the masters of mischief, nap champions, and treat connoisseurs. 😼
They ignore us, sass us, and somehow still have us wrapped around their little paws, and we wouldn’t have it any other way!
Give your cat an extra treat today (and share a pic in the comments — they won’t care, but we will).

Our pets come in all shapes and sizes, but how can we tell if that shape is healthy or not? Give your pet a nice squeeze. If it is difficult to feel their bones, then they might need some help managing their weight.
🐾 If you're unsure about your pet’s weight or diet, we’re here to help. Contact us today!

🐾💙 A whole lot of puppy love! 💙🐾

We recently had the pleasure of helping a sweet French Bulldog mama welcome her babies into the world with a C-section! 🐶🍼 These special moments are a great reminder of how rewarding veterinary medicine can be.

From caring for mom to welcoming each tiny new arrival, our team was there every step of the way to help give this little family the best possible start. 🩺💕

Join us in wishing mama and her adorable little Frenchies lots of love as they begin this new chapter! 🐾💗

Have you ever caught yourself thinking..."Maybe they're just slowing down"?
It's easy to chalk little changes up to getting older. But sometimes they're not signs of aging at all. Sometimes they're signs of arthritis. In fact, osteoarthritis affects 40% of pets — but most go undiagnosed. And the good news? Arthritis pain can often be managed with safe, effective treatments and isn't something your pet simply has to live with. So, if you do notice any potential signs – talk to us! We can help your pet feel like themselves.
