Here is the job description for the Porters Pride Management Position!


Porter’s Pride is a small scale raw pet food company that uses locally sourced ingredients to make a nutritionally dense raw meat pet food and treats for dogs and cats. We are based out of Snohomish, WA and have several boutique pet stores and high-end grocers we wholesale to along with a faithful following of loyal customers.
We are looking to start growing this business and are poised to grow quickly with the right candidate. This is a management position, managing wholesale accounts and production team, along with engaging new wholesale accounts. This person should be able and willing to fill in where needed and become proficient in all rolls. This position report directly to the owners.

Responsibilities:

Interface with wholesale accounts: Keeping in contact with customers either by phone or in person. Maintaining friendly professional environments.

Gather new accounts: Stop into small scale stores and drop off samples. Being knowledgeable about products and pricing.

Keeping inventory levels: Working with production team to ensure steady inventory for existing customers and markets while also keeping an eye on future needs.

Making or scheduling deliveries: Setting up and helping pack deliveries for customers. Making deliveries if needed

Pet Events: Schedule pet events including demos in retail stores and other pet events and festivals to show off products and talk about pet health.

Scheduling and working with production team: Inventory management will work closely with production team to make sure orders can be filled.

Ordering Ingredients: Working with farmers and distributors to have constant flow of materials ready for production.

Social Media: Posting upcoming events, stores we have products in and relevant pet nutrition stories.

Requirements:
Valid Driver’s License
Lift heavy 50lbs
Stand for 4-5 hours at a time
Outgoing; gift of gab
Pet ownership is a plus
Knowledge of raw food diets and basic nutrition is a preferred.
Living within 20 miles is a plus

We will train the right person, pet food/ industry experience is preferred, biggest requirement is you MUST love pets. Starting pay is $22 to $28 and is a negotiable depending on experience, with bonus for new accounts and quarterly evaluation/raises, not to mention discounted pet food for your pets. This is a part time job to start, expect 15 to 20 hours a week moving to full time as needed. No benefits at this time but that will change as position grows.
