✨ Student Spotlight: Karen and Kessa the White Swiss Shepherd ✨

Kinship students since February 2022, Karen and Kessa are familiar faces at agility and nosework classes. It has been incredible watching them grow as a team, and seeing their very close bond.

Karen describes Kessa as, “a free-spirited, joyful ball of vocal energy, who is bouncy and playful. Kessa is totally connected to me but loves her kitty, dog, and other human friends. She is SASSY, curious, smart, affectionate, full of joy, and everything she does is a game to be played. She is a strong searcher, doing nose work, lost items, and rats.”

Kinship is hosting a one-day UKI agility trial on March 23rd in North Bend, WA. We will start with two rounds of Speedstakes: a fast-flowing course with just jumps and tunnels. offered at a beginner/novice level suitable for dogs starting out in agility as well as senior/champ level for experienced competitors. This will be followed by all levels of Jumpers and Agility classes. The arena is 80 x 60, covered with packed mulch footing.

Calling all spookypups! Kinship is holding a Fall Photo Contest! The prize is a free group class of your choice (normally $220)!

To enter:

•Post a fall photo of your dog and tag us
•Encourage your friends to like your photos
•Most likes wins
•Unlimited entries
•Contest ends at 11:59pm on October 31st
•In the event of a tie, contestants with the highest number of likes will be put into a random drawing

Congrats to our nosework student Cathy and her superstar searcher, Ruby, on two first placements at their first ever AKC scentwork trial! Cathy and Ruby also earned a first and fourth placement at their second trial this past weekend at Washington Collie Club in Monroe. Want to get in on the nosework fun?
