I have been in animal welfare for over 20 years, helped rehabilitate challenging foster dogs, and helped friends, family and pet owners in the community with their dogs for some time. I have worked with several professional dog trainers of various methods and immersed myself in all things dog: taking courses for dog trainers, reading many dog training and behavior articles and books, watching videos. My personal dogs have been through all levels of obedience, and have participated in agility, nose work, rally and barn hunt. Our current dog, Luke, has been in training continually for his entire first year with us, and will continue for the foreseeable future. I have experience with positive training, balanced training, leadership, dog sports and the way your energy effects your life with your dog. The current training and dog behavior climate is at best confusing for dog parents, and filled with judgement and even shaming at worst.
