Happy Tails Animal Hospital, PLLC in North Bangor NY is accepting applications for an upcoming Veterinary Assistant position
Applicants must be friendly, dependable, and possess a strong work ethic. Intrapersonal skills, effective communication skills, and the ability to multitask are essential.
Responsibilities include:
Animal Handling and Restraint, escorting animals throughout the facility, maintaining a clean facility, assisting the veterinarian and veterinary technician with non-medical tasks (such as (not limited to): packaging and running laboratory samples, inputting invoices, making follow-up appointments, restocking supplies), Cross training for reception duties will be provided (including: answering phone lines, setting up and filing charts, payment processing, etc)
Currently hiring on a part-time basis (15-20 hours) with the potential for additional hours depending on job performance
Experience preferred, but willing to train the right candidate.

Good news! Santa’s reindeer have passed their annual health check and have been cleared for flight!!!

Children around the world received some good news today, with officials from the North Pole confirming that Dasher, Dancer, Prancer and the rest of Santa’s reindeer have been approved for their Christmas Eve flight following a health checkup from Santa’s veterinarian.

The Christmas and New Year's holidays are fast approaching. The office will be closed from Tuesday, December 24- Thursday December 26, 2024 for the Christmas holiday and will reopen on Friday December 27 at 8:30 am for regular business hours. The office will be closing at 12:00pm on Tuesday, December 31 and Wednesday, January 1st for the New Year's Holiday. The office will reopen on Thursday, January 2, 2025 for regular business hours.

Due to holiday shipping schedules, all regular prescription refills MUST be called in by Wednesday, December 18 at NOON in order to receive them by Monday, December 23! All special order and written refill prescriptions MUST be called in by NOON on Monday, December 16. Unfortunately, any refill phoned in after the deadlines cannot be accommodated and may result in your pet not having what they need before the new year. Please check your prescription bottles!

Thanksgiving is upon us! The office will be closing at noon (12pm) Wednesday, November 27 and will reopen at 8:30am Monday, December 2, 2024. Patients needing special order or written prescription refills requests must be called in by 11am on Friday, November 23. All other prescriptions refill requests will need to be called in by noon on Monday, November 25 for Wednesday pickup. We thank you for your continued support!
