Starting August 1, going until the end of August!
We are pleased to announce that we are once again working with NBC10, Telemundo and Hill's Pet Nutrition for the 11th annual Clear the Shelters Animal Adoption campaign!
In order to participate in this event, we must lower our adoption fees. Since Kitty Cottage does not receive any government funding, we need to fundraise donations to help offset the discounts on adoption fees. For example an adult adoption fee is $100, so for every adult adopted, we need to raise $50. For kittens (because 2 are always better than 1) we are discounting the adoption of a pair by $100 so the total adoption fee for two kittens would be $260.
Our regular adoption application process is still in effect so please give a week for your application to be reviewed since we hope to be very busy at this time. To be eligible for the Clear the Shelter's event, submit your application between August 1st - August 25th. Any cat or kitten adopted in August will count in the CTS numbers.

Dino has an important update!
Please enjoy your holiday tomorrow, we will only be open for cleanings and feedings. Dino has been invited to a pool party and won't be able to man the Shelter.
We will resume normal visiting hours on Saturday, 12-2pm.

Huge THANK YOU to RT Landscaping and Masonry for their amazing design and installation of the gardens, and to Brusca Landscape Supply for their generous donation of river rock for our gardens! It's really coming along nicely and looking so beautiful!

Congratulations Gibbs! We are very pleased to announce that Gibbs, a sweet kitty who we believed would live at the cottage forever has truly found his home! Gibbs has went home to an amazing volunteer who spent lots of time with him and looked forward to seeing him every-time she came to volunteer!

Gibbs had been to many homes in the past and for some reason it never worked and he would lash out ending up coming back to the cottage. But we decided to give him one last chance with this volunteer since not only did she adopt mini moo but we are sure Gibbs was excited to see her too!

We allowed Gibbs to go as a foster to adopt to see if he will like it there. And after really learning his quirks and what he needs to be happy and relaxed Gibbs truly blossomed into a kitty that was meant for their family. Gibbs was always very sweet and loved at the cottage but we allowed wanted him to go somewhere warm and loving and we are pleased to announce that he got that! He’s spending time with his bff mini moo (now jazzy) a kitty cottage alumni who spend lots of time with Gibbs!

Gibbs is one of our foster to adopt success stories and we are so happy to tell people how much fostering can give cats a chance at life with a great family. Long term fostering, foster to adopt seniors and adults are kinda hard to come by since everyone would love to have a kitten and foster kittens!

But foster adults and seniors can also be very fulfilling! What a perfect time for Gibbs to get adopted since it’s adopt a shelter pet month AND foster a pet month! We were assured that we will never see Gibbs again because he will never be surrendered back to us.

So congrats Gibbs! For finding your true and final furrever home!
