3 days, dozens of beautiful rides and the best group of kids. Every member of our team showed up, even though they all weren’t showing, and that to me is the winning ribbon for us as trainers (though we saw lots of blue this weekend 🏅)

Congratulations to all of our kids for conquering fears, staying consistent, bringing home the ribbons and working their butts off in the cold, rain, and early mornings.

T- 22 days until our next show 🥳

💜 🐴 Attention PONY lovers! 🐴 💜

Want another way to get hands on ponies in the summer? Join us for Pony Club! A club, all about our ponies!

This is perfect for students needing to gain confidence and want to have fun (and learn new tricks!) with horses that are smaller in stature, but just cool as our big horses!

Learn to lunge, drive, do obstacles and lots and lots of braiding, grooming and maybe even dress them up!

Ages 5+

Before care possibly available for additional fee.

Paris is a 2009 palomino AQHA mare looking for the perfect situation. She is honest as the day is long and gets 💯 of her confidence from her human. If you are unbothered then she is unbothered. She has spent the last year in a program teaching beginner and intermediate riders the basics of ranch riding with a little bit of dressage mixed in. She is forward thinking and prefers a rider with the ability to ride with their seat and be quiet with their hands. While she enjoys the constant attention of being groomed and fussed over in a lesson barn, inside arena work is not her favorite. We love her and as such we want the perfect person for her!

The pros:
⭐️ Straight ties/cross ties
⭐️ Bathes
⭐️ Excellent for vet and farrier
⭐️ Loves kids!
⭐️ Prefers to live with friends outside but is fine to stall overnight.
⭐️ Easy keeper on 1 lb of balancer and appropriate amount of hay
⭐️Blankets well but rarely needs one (we might have spoiled her with warm jammies all winter)
⭐️ Loves riding outside
⭐️Loads and hauls like a dream.
⭐️ Barefoot

The cons:
✨ Does not longe!
✨ Can be buddy sour with a handler who is not confident
✨ Does not want to be a lesson horse. She does extremely well with one consistent person who wants to spend time with her!
✨ She does have navicular changes in her right front foot. She is currently sound and does well with her current diet and hoof care plan.

The perfect person for Paris would enjoy groundwork, is looking for a partner, rides moderately 2-3 times a week and keeps cookies in their pockets 🥰

Day 2! 🗓️

Not sure if you’ve ever had 22 horse crazy kids in a barn, but there’s something magical about it. This group of kids, the big and small, all wanted to be here today, all wanted to take care of horses, and do their best riding, and were just happy humans and I couldn’t have asked for a better day.

This camp is a little more lighthearted than our summer camps as far as rigorous course material goes, but the amount of joy that literally sang out of here today (I’ll post the good notes on our story) is the most pure and heartwarming thing I could’ve ever imagined.

A little sidenote to parents- thank you for allowing your children to find horses. Thank you for supporting their dreams and wishes. And thank you for letting me and the rest of our team at The Horse Barn be part of that. I hope they continue to find joy here, good friends, and most of all their sense of place. Whether they’re here for a moment, or here for a while, we’ll be here rooting for them every time.
