Colleagues,
There is a proposal coming before Norman city council to ban Pony riding at the County Fair & Camel Rides at the Medieval Fair. Some people feel riding animals is inhumane, others do not and have expressed fond memories of riding ponies & camels with their kids.
The thoughts of the veterinary community are very important. They will have a role in shaping the outcome of the vote.
Please share them with the Mayor [email protected] and Norman City Council [email protected].
It would be valuable information particularly if you live in or around Norman.
Respectfully,
Joe Carter DVM
Norman Ward 2 City Councilman
